Andre Goodman , of Augusta State University, will represent Georgia at the Henry Clay Center for Statesmanship Scholarship program in July in Lexington, Ky.

Earn college degrees

- Margaret Ann Mobley, of Augusta, has earned a master's of arts in kinesiology and sports studies from East Tennessee State University, Johnson City.

- Angelette Sykes , of Augusta, has earned a bachelor's degree in nursing from Baptist College of Health Sciences, Memphis, Tenn.

- Paul Eric Stroebel , of Augusta, was named to the dean's list for the spring semester and earned a bachelor of science in music technology degree from the University of North Carolina, Asheville.

- Linda Sullivan , of Augusta, has earned a master of science degree in biology from St. Joseph College, West Hartford, Conn.

Receives scholarship

Tiffany Denise Hobbs , a 2005 graduate of John S. Davidson Fine Arts School and daughter of Joseph and Janice Hobbs, has received the Chuck Baker Scholarship in Drama from the Department of Theatre and Films Studies at University of Georgia, Athens.

Augusta Urban Ministries and the Burlington Coat Factory store have received a Gold Halo Award for local/national integration given by the Cause Marketing Forum for their participation in the Warm Coats & Warm Hearts Coat Drive, sponsored by ABC News' Good Morning America .

The Augusta branch of the NAACP has received the Southeast Region Ruby Hurley Award for Outstanding Programmatic Activities.

Dr. Thomas Casella , of Augusta, has been elected treasurer of the Georgia Optometric Association.

Aaron Thomas , of A.R. Johnson Health Science and Engineering Magnet High School, and Knyatte Mitchell , of the Academy of Richmond County, have received $2,500 scholarships from Bi-Lo LLC and 100 Black Men of Augusta.
