Letter From Senator C. B. Stone
Dear
Friends,
A major
mission of mine as Senator, is "to bring jobs to Augusta."
I'm not talking about minimum wage jobs, but good jobs at
good wages. Bill
Bradley is one of my primary partners in this effort. He
is a presently a Commissioner here in Richmond County.
Bill
Bradley is working currently working for a reasonable tax
rate and at getting government off the backs of workers
and job creators. As you know, no one will create jobs in
Augusta if we drive them out with high taxes and too much
regulation.
Bill,
working with myself and other State Legislators, has been
instrumental in the recruitment effort of 5,000 New Media
jobs to this area (and those jobs would pay an average of
$27,000 per year).
The
bottom line is that we need Bill in Augusta Politics if
we want good jobs at good wages. His opponent, Laze Bompensario,
has been criticizing Bill for voting against the big tax
increase this year, but I think Bill did the right thing
voting against a tax increase that would have taken an additional
$300 per family out of our pockets. In addition, that tax
increase would have taken $20 million dollars out of Richmond
County and sent it to Atlanta -- that's not job creation.
In
the interest of job creation, Elect Bill Bradley as your
next mayor to finish his work.
Sincerely,
C.B.
Stone, Senator
