The condition of the pond on Walton Way is a disgrace. It is choked with growth and littered with trash. I am certain that a cleanup is on the schedule for sometime in late May, but it is a dump right now.
Perhaps we could divert some of the storm water fees being spent on edging sidewalks to cleaning this area. I am no expert but I suppose that a pond with less plant material and trash would handle storm water more effectively than well-edged sidewalks on Highland Avenue.
Speaking of the storm water tax, can anyone name a major project that has been designed and completed since it was imposed?
