Letter: Keep on, Mr. Trump

As a United States Army veteran, I feel compelled to address several ideas written by Emanuel Jones (“Remove Trump from office,” Oct. 27). I feel that what Mr. Jones has written is even more divisive than that of which he is accusing President Trump.

President Trump’s policies have made our military and the nation proud to be leaders in this tumultuous world. He has performed his duties as commander-in-chief in an exemplary manner. In contrast to our previous administration, instead of leading from behind President Trump has listened to his brightest generals.

This is a quality of all good leaders and, as a result, our military morale is stronger than it has been for many years. We are again respected on the world stage. Unlike his predecessor, President Trump has upheld the United States Constitution and laws of our country. President Trump did not serve in the military, but is a great patriot. Unlike Mr. Jones, I hope President Trump does not change and continues to do the good work he is doing.
