Remote voting

I am offended. Of course, I am neither the correct gender nor the correct race to have my views mean much.

I am offended that the spoiled, showboating NFL community denigrates the flag of the United States of America. Their protest is vague, amorphous and hypocritical.

I believe they are more interested in “Hey! Look at Me!” than actually putting forth meaningful suggestions and plans to solve whatever it is they are protesting. And then putting their 1 percent money where their mouth is.

I served 20 months in Vietnam at my country’s call to help ensure the right of free speech. I served in the midst of the lies, ego and deceit of Johnson and McNamara. No, the United States is not perfect, but I do not see any other country on Earth that is perfect or worth emulating.

I, too, have the right of free speech guaranteed by the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America. And I will express my free speech rights by choosing to turn off the NFL.

I will vote with my remote.
