With the unraveling of the Trump administration, coupled with implosions from self-inflicted catastrophes, we are witnessing our demise.
Mixing an inexperienced novice with a checkered past with veteran politicians already at odds is a recipe for disaster. The presidency, unlike tyrannical rule or dictatorship, has checks and balances and an inquisitive free press which thrives on controversy.
Until now Trump has taken on and beaten or fought to a draw all opponents challenging his authority or resolve. Until now.
Though already rich, it seems Trump viewed the Oval Office as another business deal to help himself and command underlings to march in lockstep to his demands, not realizing our government is a three-headed monstrosity. Enormous mistake. Coming into plain view are hollow campaign promises which are casting doubt amongst even his most staunch supporters.
Unable to repeal or replace Obamacare, backtracking on China tough talk, failing to “bomb the blank out of ISIS,” not cutting Medicare or Social Security, no border wall at Mexico’s expense, putting no brakes on fleeing businesses, no heavy taxing on imports, not creating more jobs than ever, not draining the swamp in Washington, D.C. and putting democracy at risk with Russian collusion.
While so much incompetency manifests within his administration, America is swiftly moving from the greatest nation to a great nation in decline. Our perception around the world is spiraling to new lows with respect and expectation closely following.
With all due respect, we cannot afford four years of Donald Trump at this rate. In 241 years no president has brought the country so low so fast. Enemies are laughing and taunting us as in North Korea.
Our country has prevailed in adverse times, as the right people with the right stuff did the right thing. So must we. Let’s dump Trump before America flunks.
