Runoff responsibility

The flooding of Martintown Road in North Augusta never happened until the contractor cleared the lot beside a paint store and directed runoff toward the road.

The contractor or the selling agent should be held responsible for any damage caused by the flooding. The city should re-evaluate the retention pond that took on no water at all.

I must have missed the flooding during the latest downpour. I'll look more closely next time.

BTW, the contractor IS responsible and will be required to correct issues.

This was the driving force behind a lawsuit in CC that resulted in the rain tax.   Incompetent County Employese resulted in residents paying a tax for said incompetent engineering.

Taxpayer dollars cover a multitude of government sins.   FACT
