Has U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham forgotten the people of South Carolina in his 22 years as a Washington, D.C., politician? Apparently so, as his recent statements and actions reflect a pattern of disconnect with our state.
His latest comments criticizing the Republican House and President Trump’s proposal to pay for the wall along the Mexican border are too much. Mr. Graham said on Twitter that “any policy proposal which drives up costs of Corona, tequila or margaritas is a big-time bad idea. Mucho Sad.”
Well, evidently Mr. Graham is more concerned with the price of Mexican alcohol for him and his Washington cronies than the security of our nation; more concerned about the price of foreign alcohol than the jobs of American workers; and more concerned about the price of alcohol than enforcing American laws against illegal immigration.
Despite Graham’s appearances in Hillary Clinton TV ads criticizing Donald Trump and calling him names, she lost. The American people have spoken. Graham and the Washington establishment need to lick their wounds, listen to the voices of change and join President Trump in making America great again.
