Spiritual revival needed

There are only two ways of looking at this world.

There is the world’s view, which is practiced by the majority of people. They are called secular humanists. Secular humanism is a man-centered philosophy that attempts to solve the problems of man and the world independent of God. They now control our educational system, our news media, our government and for the most part our churches.

Quit being so naive and gullible. Ninety percent of politicians will be returned to office. Politicians are like babies; they need to be changed often. They speak out of both sides of their mouth. During election time, they take opinion polls and then tell the voters what they want to hear. After the election is over, they vote for the lobbyists who pay them the most. That is all of them. The Constitution is the standard. President Ronald Reagan said, “Trust, but verify.”

On the other side of the coin is the biblical world-view. Those are people who look toward the Bible for direction. For the first 200 years of our nation’s history this was our prevailing viewpoint. During this time we were the most revered nation on Earth. Now our society is a cesspool. We are bankrupt both morally as well as financially. We cannot have the Ten Commandments in our government schools, but we can have boys and girls going to the same bathrooms, same sex marriages and the killing of tens of millions of unborn babies.

God is going to take care of us as long as those government checks keep rolling in, right? If you want to know the problem with America, look no further than your mirror.

Christians are called to be the salt and the light to the world, but that is no longer politically correct.

What we most desperately need is a spiritual revival.
