Obama is 'empty suit'

  • Follow Letters

Surely the decision to print the Jason Stanford column “President Obama’s diplomatic victories are the best you’ve never heard” (Aug. 10) was a mistake, or merely a ploy to bring levity to what should be a serious situation. I certainly laughed out loud when I read it.

Obama’s so-called diplomacy is to not be interested in what is true, but in what is convenient. He wants as few people as possible to know as little as possible about everything. The biggest way to achieve that is to smile obsequiously and shy away from meeting with the press. He adds a whole new meaning to the term “empty suit.”

The exception to that is when he appears at a fund-raiser, or interrupts a rigorous game of golf to aim a few choice zingers at people who are keeping him from doing his job. Now those are the things I wish I would never hear!

If anyone had looked into Obama's background....

If anyone had looked into Obama's background as many of us did, they would have known he had no qualifications to be President except for age and US citizenship.

There was nothing that shown no intellect, no understanding of geopolitics, no business experience, no private sector experience, no significant accomplishments of any degree, a man who was duplicitous in obtaining his elections to both the IL legislature and the US Senate, a follower of the radical Saul Alinsky, and a serial teller of untruths as a start.

If he had been a white man he would never had one the first primary. He would have been looked upon as a Dennis Kucinich.

It was only the color of his skin that allowed black people to swell with pride that they could vote for a black liberal and too many white could seize this as an opportunity to shed their white guilt and prove they were not racist by voting for Obama.

Too many blacks put the color of their skin above what was best for the country. I could perhaps see the first election being for pride but the second time of voting for the color of his skin was idiotic.

What's sad is to go out to Ft. Gordon and seen black officers and senior NCO's with Obama bumper stickers on their vehicles knowing what he is doing to the military and what he plans to do the military. I would never have imagined the leaders of the Army could have the scales so stuck to their eyes they still stand behind this poor excuse for a president.

Thank God for blacks like Walter Williams, Thomas Sowell, Ben Carson, Charles Paine, Larry Elders, Niger Ennis, and many more blacks who love the country more than they do the color of their skin.

The bottomline is Obama is lazy, a Muslim sympathizer, a socialist, an anti-American who hates what America is and how it got to be what it is and will do everything possible to change it. He thinks America is the root cause of all the problems in the world and has been since its Founding. Based on his mentors, family, and associates he could have no other belief because he has been wrapped in a blanket of anti-Americanism since his birth to an American hating communist or communist sympathizing mother.

Arguably foreign affairs

is the one area where the US president should have the most influence. Many Obama apologist insist his predecessors have hampered his ability to be a strong leader on the global stage.

Funny how that argument just reinforces the fact that "impotent" is the most accurate adjective describing his foreign policies.

I wonder how his presidential library will spin that important aspect of his presidency?

Maybe his and the Carter library can strive for the "best fiction" award. I'm sure many in our media won't mind continuing in their roll as ghost writers.

Ms Gray is right,

Ms Gray is right, unfortunately many people think because he can be charming, funny and carry a tune those are the only qualifications any liberal president needs, as another example, Bill Clinton.

Something to ponder – During

Something to ponder – During Clinton’s administration the U.S.N. Cole was attacked by Middle East terrorists, we lost about 17 Navy personnel, and he did nothing but call the Commander of this ship and tell him he was praying for them. Zip, nada, nothing else.

Then there was the botched attack on the Twin Towers. Mr. Clinton did zip, nada, nothing. Therefore, the terrorists decided they had free reign to put it to the U.S. and they sure did on 9-11, 2001.

For about two years before that, they planned, studied, practiced, got flying lessons and funding from the Middle East countries. This was all done during Clinton’s administration and most likely done because of the non-action, absence of retaliation for the previous terrorist attacks, and liaise faire attitude of Mr. Clinton.

So wouldn’t it be prudent for Obama to blame 9-11 on Mr. Clinton, consequently the Afghanistan and Iraq wars done in retaliation for 9-11 should also rest on the shoulders of Mr. Clinton, not Mr. Bush.

hoptoad, your argument is common sense but liberals and common sense have nothing in common.

Faithson, Mitt Romney, turned

Faithson, Mitt Romney, turned around the Utah Olympics, Governor of Massachusetts , and ran a very successful investment company. Newt Gingrich, house Majority leader. Obama , Illinois Senator who voted present . US senator from Illinois who DIDN'T KNOW KENTUCKY BORDER ILLINOIS !!! then worked as a community organizer . The neighbor hood Obama organized in was worse when he left than when he arrived right. You do know Romney graduated with degrees in law and an MBA taking both studies concurrently!

hoptoad, try doing a little research.you are wrong as usual. the cole investigation was completed 3 days before Clinton left office.what was he supposed to do in 3 days? he left if for bush who DID NOTHING,but plan when and how to invade Iraq.the 93 bombers were arrested ,convicted, and sentenced.also. the cole attack was attributed to the country of sudan, had you bothered to read something beside what rush and bill tell you to read.as for being president that's about all the requirements you need, just as being a supreme court justice requires no law experience.now please tell us bush's qualifications, other than being the son of a president,a former college male cheerleader, and a loser in business even when poppys friends kept bailing him out? 9/11? inside job info for those who have the stomach to accept it.

For a man of his wealth Romney lives a relatively modest lifestyle. Just wait and see how lavishly Obama lives when he leaves office....remember Obama claims to be one who was down for the struggle just like us regular folks.

Don't think his citizenship

Don't think his citizenship is exactly proved. Too many questions. More than ever brought up. Was his alleged father a bigamist when he married his mother? Was his father really his father?

There is such a double standard on vetting candidates in this country.

The problem with all those that faithson

pointed out was that they all shared one common problem.

Not enough melanin.

I'm thinking that won't be a problem next time around.

Still, it's something in the line of progress when we get faithson to tacitly admit that OzBama is all show(pony) and no GO!

As to Savior Romney...
Unpublished

What DRIVEL.

Romney didn't concurrently study for a JD and MBA, he was enrolled in a program designed especially to give this degree. He did NOT 'star' in two different programs like some Superman, although his Special Underwear probably did come in handy, as did his daddy's money to be able to afford this life.

BTW, he also managed to Dodge the Draft with student and "I Got An Invisible Friend" deferments, which also came gratis his daddy's ability to support a vagrant son, as opposed to what Obama would have had.

Silver Spoons have their advantages, although being able to empathize with real people isn't one of them.

Oh, and I call having an elevator just for cars a lavish lifestyle when most people don't even have one. He may not be ostentatious, but maybe he learned something about Louis XVI in all that over-edjamacation he got the opportunity to indulge in...
