Democrats deceive blacks

  • Follow Letters

Walter Williams’ column was exactly right about the reason for the plight of the black population. The Democrat Party has convinced blacks that Republicans are bigots, biased and prejudiced against any race other than Caucasian, which they are not. There are fewer minority GOP members only because the minority chooses to believe the negative remarks and false accusations leveled by Democrats.

The Jim Crow laws began in 1880 under President Andrew Johnson by the southern Democrats. The Ku Klux Klan was organized in 1866 by ex-confederate soldiers and southern Democrats in Pulaski, Tenn. Republicans did not organize or belong to these radical, extremist groups.

In the early 20th century the KKK targeted Jews, Catholics, blacks, organized labor and Republicans. In 1960 the KKK party surged after the Civil Rights Act was passed; facts the Democrats don’t want the black population to know.

According to congressional records, Republicans were responsible for coercing President Johnson into passing the Civil Rights Act. Johnson and Democrats in Congress opposed it several times, including Al Gore’s father in the Senate, who voted “no.”

The Democrats realized giving benefits was a way to keep the black population dependent upon the government and guarantee votes for the party. Instead of encouraging minorities to become educated and lauding those who become educated and successful, the Democrats deride successful blacks and refer to them as Uncle Toms and “not black enough.”

The use of the race card and vile orations of the Revs. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton continue to keep black people angry and constantly reminded of their long-ago enslaved ancestors.

The policies set forth by this administration have destroyed many jobs and opportunities, mostly for minorities. The unemployment rate for blacks is over 22 percent, according to the Department of Labor Statistics, and is predicted to be 50 percent in a few short years. This administration does not have anyone’s best interests at heart, obviously not blacks.

The Democrats have created the “Great Deception.”

Republicans deceive Whites

Today's Republican Party is NOT the same party it was during Johnson's time no matter how nostalgic the letter writer may be. Many, not all, of today's Republicans have deceived whites to believe that Blacks and other minorities are lazy, looking for a hand out and not only envy the wealthy, but want their wealth redistributed. (Mitt Romney's 47-per center comment)

Any credible student of American history understands how the segregationists of the Democratic Party eventually ended up in the Republican Party after the passage of the Civil Rights Act. They also understand the Southern Strategy (can you say Lee Atwater, and his current day disciple, Karl Rove). What Republicans should ask themselves is why have they given homage to that faction that transported their bigotry to their Grand Old Party. If those bigots who were Democrats had felt unwelcome, they would have left. Instead, Nixon and Reagan figured out how to exploit their resentment towards minorities in order to win elections in the south.

It does not take any effort by the Democrats to turn people against Republicans. Heck, I can count 40-60 reasons every day when I read the denigrating comments about minorities on these pages. It's heard on talk radio and read on blogs.

J. C. Watts quoted his grandmother: What's in the well will come up in the bucket. In this case it means the negative talk about minorities simply reflects what is in the talker's heart.

Blacks voted for a Republican

Recently a certain demographic of voters in Mississippi voted for a Republican and "all hell broke out". From what I saw of interviews, it was not some Democrat promising "stuff" to those voters. Instead, those Black voters made a decision based on what they knew about McDaniels and what they had heard him spewing on his radio show and decided to vote for the "devil we know, over the devil we don't know".
I submit, based on the Blacks that I know, and I admit that I must know fewer than the letter writer, they vote their self-interest just like every other American does, and try to mitigate that interest by voting for the person who has the best interest of their community, state and nation at heart. Everybody knew that McDaniels planned to go to Washington and make a name for himself by "out obstructing" the next Republican.

Now that won't happen and the GOP, Mississippi, and our country will be the better for that, IMHO.

http://politicaloutcast.com/2014/07/chicago-blacks-turn-obama/

At least some blacks are realizing the damage the current Democrats are doing to them. Maybe there is hope. I hate that they have to suffer physically and financially in order to realize that the progressives who have taken control of the party truly do not have their interests at heart.

Democrats = Economical Collapse

And the Republicans are not responsible for the rubble of Detroit & Chicago? It's all self inflicted due to them constantly falling for the lies and manipulations of Democrats. America as a whole is headed in the same direction unless we change our leadership!

Truth

I have only been a poster for a short time, but have read and contributed to many articles and R&Rs. I have yet to see anything that was racially insinuated or outwardly critical of any minority.

If you're referring to any discussion about government handouts , then you must be a bigot to think that we are referring strictly to minorities. There are many whites who also receive these government handouts. Sounds to me like you like to look for bigotry and will distort things to suit your mindset.

Unless you're upset when a minority commits a crime and we make appropriate comments, as we do about white criminals also. So please refer me to any "race card" comments or fergedaboutit.

TM, I see you have been sucking on the teat of...

TM I see you have sucking on the teat of spin that the left portrays as facts.

Do you remember when LBJ signed the civil rights act and said, "This will have the n@@@@@s voting democrat for a hundred years."? You see, the goal all along has to put the blacks on the dependency plantation by wrecking the black family and convincing women they did not really need a man in the house...the government could me your man.

Then they attacked the black man's psyche by telling him he was unsuccessful because the system is against him and "The Man" is the cause and that man is the Republican party.

The Democratic party has treated the blacks like children since the early 1960's and as a result has created three or four generations of government dependency that no longer recognizes the need for the traditional family unit. This has resulted in an out of wedlock birth rate of 70% among blacks.

If TM would read some pre-1960 statistics he would learn that statistics for black families and success was above that of whites in many places and some black schools in DC and NYC out performed their white counterparts.

If TM would read Walter Williams, Thomas Sowell, Ben Carson, Clarence Thomas, Shelby Steele among others he would learn how blacks feel about the opportunity to advance in America in spite of what the Democratic party has done to the black. He will also learn what life for the black family was before LBJ and the ushering of the willing blacks to t he Democratic, welfare plantation.

Of course, seeking the truth through other than leftist spin may not be within the capability of someone who says, "truth matters".

Blacks who study history...

Blacks who study history by other than that revised by the left the scales of ignorance will be lifted from their eyes.

One of the things needed is for the blacks to think for themselves and not rely on information from "black leaders".

Why is it that the left feels that the blacks are like sheep in that they need black ''leaders" to speak for them when there are no Asian leaders or white speakers or leaders? The Hispanics/Latinos are falling into the same trap? Does the left think they are too stupid to speak for themselves?

How come when whites disagree with Obama, they are called "racists" yet when whites disagree with Clarence Thomas they are not?

Truth the Rep part formed in

Truth the Rep part formed in response to the spread of slavery. Southern Dems were racist Nixon adopted the Southern strategy not because the were bigots but because he knew Dems were. Southern Dems had a stronghold and the passage of the civil rights act changed that Nixon took advantage of their prejudice as an voting interest group for votes. Now theSouthern Dems called themselves Rep ,but their actions in the south was that of Dixiecrats- Rhinos. The Rep party wasn't racist but took advantage of racist. The Rep are responsible for ending slavery and bringing civil rights that is a fact- they had to fight Dems to doit. Nixon never pursued any racist legislation against blacks, nor Rep Asa whole suppress blacks. Now in the South old Dixiecrats who changed to Rep still pursued racist strategies- but they were old democrats just Rep in name only.

Most of the laws of the Old

Most of the laws of the Old Testament are because Jews had just come out of slavery and didn't really know how to function as free men. Dems took a similar strategy to control blacks introduction into society - you can listen to recordings of Pres Johnson discussing this strategy.

"I have yet to see anything that was racially insinuated or outwardly critical of any minority."

And you probably will not, because you're not specifically looking for comments to brand as racist!! What "truth matters" is talking about are comments critical of this president and his administration!! ANY comment that is critical of him, is considered racist by the left. Any comment that even questions his motivations, is considered racist by the left. It's called supressing the voice of the opposition, using political correctness and it's very successful against the spineless crowd; who are afraid to be branded!!

The last thing Democrats want is for blacks to be educated and become critical thinkers. The successful blacks understand that there's a different America out there when you become educated and work hard. This runs contrary to what Democrats tell blacks every day. Blacks are told that the deck is stacked against them and that it's futile to try and become successful without Democrats in charge. Sadly so called black leaders bought and paid for by the Democratic machine tell the people that because of Republicans their life of dependency exists only through racism. The definition of insanity it to do the same thing over and over and expect a different outcome yet blacks do this every election. Why is that?

I believe DECEPTION is the

I believe DECEPTION is the biggest difference between democrats and republicans, on the issue of minorities!! No, I don't believe either party actually helps ANY individual American especially, and in reality; they aren't suppose to!!!

Each individuals success, or failure is supposed to be upon THEM!!! Democrat's are the big GIVERS of unlimited government entitlements; but as many commentors have stated; it isn't because they care, it's because MONEY BUYS VOTES!!! Liberal's think collectively and do not promote individual achievement and success; remember "You didn't build that"?

Republican's today don't do very much to help individuals, but at least they tell the TRUTH; that your success is upon YOU!! Are they really SUPPOSED to ensure every American is successful? Is that government job at all? Isn't government supposed to protect life, liberty so that YOU can pursue happiness? What makes one person happy, might not make another happy; so YOUR happiness is dependent upon YOUR goals and it's YOUR responsibility to acheive them!! Your success in life and happiness, is NOT the responsibilty of some government bureaucrat OR the other tax payers of the Country!! It's YOUR responsibility to be a PRODUCTIVE citizen; and the chances are that if you're a productive citizen, you're life will be more successful, naturally!!

Now, common sense should tell you that I'm talking about people who are physically and mentally healthy; not disabled people who are unable to take care of themselves.

Bottom line is; for many decades now, we've been fed a bunch of lies, that government can take care of everything!! That is exactly why we're 17 trillion in debt and creating more every single day!! Because this is a LIE!!

In a Country of 320+ million people, government can NOT take care of everything!! Especially without taxing it's citizens beyond any imaginable amount!!

Ignorant people are the easiest to control.....

Ignorant people are the easiest to control. Also, if people are poor and ignorant that makes it all the easier.

Let's face it, control of the people and their lives is the main goal of the democrats. If people don't think for themselves and believe only what their "leaders" tell them, they can be manipulated at will.

The democrats do all they can to keep the blacks education level as low as possible. They even change test standards for blacks in comparison to Asians and whites in order for the blacks to get passing grades.

When people are uneducated it is easier for the democrats/left to transfer the victim hood causation away from the lack of effort on the part of the individual to the system and "the man".

Look at where you find the most ignorant blacks--the larger inner cities such as NYC, Newark, Detroit, LA, Washington, DC---and you will find the most money spent on education. The problem is not that there is not enough money but the black culture in these cities. That black culture tells any child who tries to get an education that they are "acting white" and as a result are ridiculed and beaten down.

The people teaching the children in many of these schools are the product of the same culture and are incompetent because they have been products of affirmative action and the soft bigotry of low expectations.

Find where blacks are getting a poor and bias education and you will find a democrat in charge surrounded by democrats in positions of power.
