Obama's term a disaster

Without the Republican House blocking him, President Obama would be free to carry out his wish list of totalitarian policies.

It is now clear what Obama meant when he said he was going to “transform” America. He meant that he was going to use the full power of the state to enforce his utopian views on the country. Without a single Republican vote, Obama, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and then-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi forced Obamacare on the country.

It mandates what the health care insurance companies must offer as coverage. It then mandates that every U.S. citizen must buy one of the polices whether they want one or can afford it. It then uses the full force of the Internal Revenue Service and the Department of Health and Human Services to enforce those mandates.

This scheme is designed to redistribute wealth by force on a national scale by taking it from the young and giving it to the old, and taking it from the healthy and giving it to the unhealthy.

Furthermore, Obamacare authorizes more than 100 boards and commissions, accountable apparently to no one, that will regulate seemingly every facet of our lives, and our deaths, since everything we do as individuals affects our health and wellness. Total control is the goal of this totalitarian regime, and if Obamacare survives as a law, he has achieved his objective.

A recent Miami Herald article obviously supports all the anti-small-business policies of the Obama regime, such as higher taxes; increases in the minimum wage; tighter Environmental Protection Agency regulations; Obamacare; and a de facto open-borders bill being pushed in the Senate. Small business is the primary source of new jobs. Obama ignores this.

His arrogance and disastrous policies have produced the poorest recovery from a recession in history.
