Just one more sign tweak

Now that the transformation has begun, why not finish the job?

Since we now have or will have “Georgia Regents University Augusta” on signs in front of the university, just add “of ” between “University” and “Augusta.” Then remove “Georgia Regents,” and we will finally have the University of Augusta!

Why Limit it to Augusta

When MCG combined with ASU -- MCG brought more to the table than ASU, in terms of budget size, impact on the economy, and even prestige. It was Medical College of Georgia (not Augusta) because that says something about the institution (it was THE public medical school for the State), and it helped to attract world class researchers and physicians. ASU subsuming MCG is like the minnow swallowing the whale. I actually think GRU - Augusta, portends a grander footprint. GRU-Athens, GRU-Savannah, etc. Not unlike USC-Aiken, etc.
