What's Obama's agenda?

  • Follow Letters

Happy New Year 2014. But some things will not be new.

For instance, much of the secret “care” of the Obama administration still is being unwrapped by the taxpayers, from whom he stole more than $500 billion of their Medicare money to finance his socialistic monstrosity. Was it for the young taxpayers to care for the people more prone to become sick elders? How many elders need pills to keep from getting pregnant? Or “morning after” pills? Or the need to go to an abortion clinic? Lest we forget, there are more than 15 million illegals in this country, and more pouring in every day who may need such things, and President Obama wants to house and feed them with taxpayers’ money so they will vote to keep him and the Democratic Senate in power. They just love to make laws for others to keep, yet exempt themselves from them.

And the House of Representatives? Its members are so fearful of being accused of something that they bow to these tactics rather than holding the line on taxpayers’ money, which is their job. What a mess.

Some have thought Obama is the biblical Antichrist, or the Man of Sin in II Thessalonians 2, which I doubt. But I can see why they think so.

On another subject, eat your words, Al Gore. God is in control of the weather, whether hot or cold.

don't worry... our grandchildren will pay for that

it's the greatest heist in history
stealing from the unborn (excuse me, liberals... future "choices")
incurring debt in their name
a victim that can't fight back or even plead for mercy
as Dillinger said, "that's where the money is"
but the real money isn't in the present
it's in the future
goodness this O'man is good

hahahaha... how do you sleep at night?? If Obama was socialist, you'd be in jail. His "agenda" is the same agenda he's had all the time, to try and get everyone in this country covered under some form of health insurance... how dare he? As for some calling him the biblical antichrist?? turn off FOX news and you won't hear that.

Carcraft and HA

Take it easy on GAC, that's the best he/she could come up with!! Mr. Jimmie Rodgers came out with a very thoughtful letter, but some people just can't think that deep!!

Just like always, I'm sure his blood starting boiling as he read this letter. After reading it, he sat there thinking of things to say to refute it, couldn't come up with anything, so he just attacked it!! Typical!!

Good morning, y'all

This has been the argument of every generation of Americans since the Colonies broke from England to become this Great Nation. The argument, to me, poses a valid point that even proponents and neutrals should think about.

As far as the weather goes, the Earth's climate fluctuates with time. This has been going on since the dawn of time.

Let's put Obama's lack of success in perspective...

Let's put Obama's lack of success in perspective. A friend sent this to me last week and Rush mentioned it on his show yesterday.

During 3 1/2 years of WWII from the attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1942 to the surrender of Japan and Germany in 1945, the US produced 15 aircraft carriers, 8 battleships, 48 cruisers, 349 destroyers, 420 destroyer escorts, 203 submarines, 34 million tons of merchant ships, 100,000 fighting aircraft, 58,000 training aircraft, 98,000 bombers, 24,000 transport aircraft, 93,000 tanks, 257,000 artillery pieces, 105,000 mortars, 3,000,000 machine guns, and 2,500,000 trucks.

We put 16.1 million men in uniform in various armed forces, invaded Africa, Sicily and Italy, won the battle of the Atlantic, planned and executed D-Day, marched across the Pacific and Europe, developed the atomic bomb, and ultimately conquered Japan and Germany.

We did all of this with pencil and slide run---no computers.

It is worth noting, that during the exact same amount of time, the Obama administration couldn't build a functioning website.

While Obama's failure is epic, I think you might need to look at those numbers again. There have only been 80 aircraft carriers constructed in the US, total.

The author's agenda

Mr. Rodgers did not get around to mentioning what he thinks Mr. Obama's agenda is. But that doesn't matter, because we know that, no matter what Mr. Obama's agenda is, Mr. Rodgers will be opposed to it, like all the other tea partiers. Because the fact is, the right wing has no programs to offer the American people. It's only objective is to block anything and everything proposed by Democrats, and siphon as much of America's wealth as possible into the hands of the richest and the corporations. They have not submitted one single bill aimed at creating jobs, addressing the needs of the elderly, the sick, the unemployed, or our veterans. We know their agenda -- it is the war on the poor, and creating more poor to war upon.

"But that doesn't matter, because we know that, no matter what Mr. Obama's agenda is, Mr. Rodgers will be opposed to it, like all the other tea partiers."

This is an outright lie. I would not be against any of his policies if they weren't distructive to the Nation.

" They have not submitted one single bill aimed at creating jobs, addressing the needs of the elderly, the sick, the unemployed, or our veterans."

Yet another lie. Perhaps you should do some more research. Congress has passed numerous bills, just to have the Senate refuse to vote on them.

As for the "war on the poor"....just what have the democrats done that have made any of the poor, less poor. Try to answer that.

By every measure...

By every measure every metric has gone down since Obama has become president. As Al "The Earth Has A Fever" Gore famously said, "Everything that should be up is down and everything that should be down is up". Our domestic situation has deteriorated and our respect around the world has reached rock bottom. Our enemies don't respect or fear us and our allies don't trust us.

As an example of the foreign situation one has to look at the Obama-backed Muslim Brotherhood has been declared a terrorist organization by the Egyptian government yet the Obama administration has MB members in numerous governmental agencies to include senior leadership positions in the Homeland Security Department.

Not only has Obama done his damnest to fundamentally change this country domestically, he has done it in foreign policy as well----all for the worst for the United States of America.

I think Obama is doing a

I think Obama is doing a better job than Rep in aiding the wealth to get wealthier-including himself. Under his administration the wealthy have gotten wealthier and now more people live in poverty than any time in history-46.2 million. Wealth disparity has increased significantly the last 5 years, the number of poor went from 36 to 46 million just since Obama has been in office. The black community was thriving pre-Obama, but now they have been hit the hardest by the economic downturn and they are having the slowest recovery-hispanics use to be number one in poverty-now blacks are number one in poverty. Obama is in office and his policies are responsible for this-it's preposterous to blame anything else.

"Under his administration the wealthy have gotten wealthier and now more people live in poverty than any time in history-46.2 million."

We have to be careful with these numbers as well. I personally don't believe there are NEAR this many people, who are truly poor and living in "poverty".

Under federal guideline I am suppose to be living in poverty. I'm a Deputy, living on my salary only, until my wife graduates college. I've got 4 children. Yet, here I am on my laptop commenting on the AC. I've also have a 42 Inch LCD 1080p Flatscreen in the living room, a 32 Inch one in the bedroom, a home computer, two vehicles (one paid for), a mortgage, a four wheeler atv, a jon boat with trolling motor, a utility trailer for my zero turn lawn mower, numerous firearms and a Matthews bow worth $600.00 and I could go on!! Have I had to make payments on this stuff? Yes, but except for my automobile, I've got all this stuff already paid for!! Some of this (ATV and Boat) I've had for over 10 years. Can I afford to go out and buy new ones every year? Nope, but I'm certainly not living in what people think is "poverty".

My point is, that if we went to other Countries or South America, Africa and told them our guidelines for someone who lives in poverty, they would and SHOULD spit in our eye!!! They increase the income, one can still be under poverty, to make the numbers sound worse. Because if people are still living in poverty, someone still has to fix the problem. As long as you have a problem, it needs to be fixed, right?

"History moment: Does anybody know what % of tax raise helped spark the Revolution?"

That's an unanswerable question. Because there was NO single tax percentage raise that sparked the Revolutiion. There were MANY, including new taxes, which wouldn't be called a raise. You know, new taxes like Obamacare!!

The Brittish had sent troops to "defend" the Colonies from indians. They started charging (Taxing) the Colonies for this UNNEEDED service. They were also WAY over charging them. Then there was the Stamp Act, The Tea tax and the list could go on!!

It was NOT a single tax raise, or a raise period that sparked the Revolution, it was MORE and MORE, NEW taxes being put on them. The Brittish were taxing them for anything you can think of!!

Does that sound familiar?

We're #10!!! We're #10!!! Yeah!!!

We're #10!!! We're #10!!! Yeah!!! Just released the list of economic freedom of all the world's countries and the Good Ol' USA is .....now #10. We used to be the most economically free country in the world and was envied by the world as the beacon of economic freedom for which all wanted to emulate, but no more.

Who is ahead of us? Well, let's look at the top 10:
1. Hong Kong
2. Singapore
3. Australia
4. New Zealand
5. Switzerland
6. Canada
7. Chile
8. Mauitlus
9. Denmark
10. UNITED STATES

This is the 5th straight year of decline and our lowest score since 2000.

The ranking has nothing to do with economic performance so the recession cannot be used as an excuse. Two things included are the size of government and regulations which hamper economic growth.

In 2013 alone the federal government added regulations cost the economy $112 billion and that's only regulations whose impact is greater than $100 million each. The new regs added an additional 157.9 million hours of paper work. The total cost of all federal regulations last year cost the economy $1.8 trillion. There are over 60,000 pages of federal regulations. Any wonder we have slipped to #10?

Any correlation between these two and the occupant of the White House during the last five years? That fundamental transformation of America is right on track. Yeah! We're #10!!

Who ya gonna

Who ya gonna blame-Ghostbusters? No Obama he owns it all. Just like Bush before he-the standing Prez has to eat it. Obama is killing economic freedom as Dee points out. The US was rated number 5 or better as of 2005. So Obama is "entirely" to blame as the Prez of the US for destroying economic freedom at an astonishing rate.

myfather,

you, sir, are correct.... However, the combined amout equated to approximately 2-3% of an increase and the Stamp Act was never enforced. It wasn't about the amount, though, it was the principle of the matter.

It was the fact that the colonies had no representation in Parliament that ticked them off. You know the battle cry, "Taxation without Representation"
