Big thanks to organ donor

Brad Cunningham of Allen Organ Studios of Augusta made a large Allen Quantum Organ available to the Columbia County Choral Society and the Columbia County Orchestra.

On Nov. 15, the choral society and orchestra combined forces to present Christmas selections and Franz Josef Haydn’s Missa in Angustiis (the “Lord Nelson Mass”) at Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Evans. The church allowed the organ to stay there for a few weeks. Then on Dec. 1, the orchestra presented the Sixth Annual Handel Messiah Sing-In. For each of these performances, Allen Organ Studios made the organ available for the performances.

The Columbia County Orchestra and the Columbia County Choral Society wish to acknowledge Allen Organ Studios and Brad Cunningham for gestures such as this to undergird and support the arts in the CSRA. We lift up Mr. Cunningham as a business example to our community. Businesses such as this are how the arts can continue to prosper in the CSRA.

I am sure this was a fine

I am sure this was a fine gesture by Mr. Cunningham and Allen Organ Studios of Augusta. I like to see private sector support for the arts.

But from the headline I thought someone had given up a kidney or something. "Organ Donor".....c'mon AC.

If only they would have put

If only they would have put the word "big" in a different place, it would have sounded even funnier.
