Predictions coming to pass

  • Follow Letters

On July 12, union boss James Hoffa, in an open letter to The Wall Street Journal, complained about the disasters of Obamacare and the destruction of the middle class. Lost hours, lost insurance coverage and extra taxes from Obamacare were his chief concerns. His concerns were widely ignored by the national media. Imagine that.

Early this spring, Democratic U.S. Sen. Max Baucus, in a congressional hearing, declared that Obamacare would be one big train wreck. For those who don’t know, Baucus is one of the chief architects of Obamacare. It was a disaster heading down the track filled with inflated promises, lies, taxes and the old unintended consequences of Murphy’s Law. And as in the old Jethro Tull song Locomotive Breath: “Old Charlie stole the handle and the train won’t stop going.”

But in a genuine profile of courage, Republican U.S. Sens. Ted Cruz and Mike Lee stood up against all odds, their own party, the president, the Democrats and the media as the two men tried to stop this train wreck from taking place. They were belittled in all media as small, traitors or any other words that came to the minds of their critics. The supporters of Obamacare told us it was the law of the land and could not be defunded or postponed. Maybe someone should have told this to President Obama before he made multiple changes.

Many Republicans, in their cowardice, said “Let it wreck – it will show them,” but the price was too heavy for Lee and Cruz. These men of integrity held their ground trying to protect the American public of all stripes from the disasters in Obamacare. Now we know that Hoffa, Baucus and others were absolutely right about Obamacare. Every prediction has or is coming true about the consequences, from part-time work to losing insurance. There will be no winners if Obama and his allies win.

Again, thank you, Sens. Lee and Cruz, for trying. If only cooler heads had listened to you and all the earlier warnings across the political spectrum. Demonizing and name-calling is all the left has at its disposal. The king has no clothes, and unfortunately millions have no insurance.

And a hearty, sarcastic thank-you to the media for choosing sides and not reporting the truth.

Not only are their

Not only are their predictions coming true, Obama plan is coming together exactly as planned!! Republicans will get blames by the no-accountability democrats, watch and see!!

Now Obama is saying "We can fix it!!" and if republicans don't go along with it, they will be blamed again, for not cooperating!

It doesn't matter WHO speaks up against this disaster, their mission will not be thrown off track!! They have a deep hatred for America, her founding, and her system!! They believe their way is BETTER!! So they will do anything and everything to destroy the system that is in place, so they can rebuild it in THEIR image!!

Someone else thought their plan was better too, and tried to destroy a system with deception.............his name is Lucifer!!

The republicans are not to be left out of any blame. Instead of working together they have done everything they could to sabotage the ACA to include shutting the government down. If they would have helped the act would have turned out better.

What did you expect

There has been opposition from the begining and there has been efforts to silence or discourage the opposition. There has been one sided debates and vocal beatdowns of honest discourse.

Conservatives have presented themselves as meek and lacking a backbone in the name of political correctness. Liberal democrats vocalize with strength, all be it filled with lies, nevertheless, they project their position with strength.

Conservatives seem fearful of what the media thinks of them. That fear is unfounded as conservative should already know that the media is not their friend. So, why should conservatives even take that into consideration? They shouldn't.

Conservatives should approach the debate just as liberals do, with both fists ready for battle. If conservatives don't stop this civil approach to getting their point out, they will continue to be pummeled by the lying left.

The Republicans were right.

The Republicans were right. The knuckleheads did not want to listen...even though it was obvious. Yes Cruz, et. al., were courageous and right.....BUT they accomplished nothing, caved in..again, had NO, ZERO, NADA hope of winning, and did more harm than good to the overall reputation of the Republicans. Six weeks of "official" Obamacare has done more to help the Republican cause than ALL of the shutdowns and "repeal" votes for the last 3 years. Sometimes it is just smarter to sit quietly and hold up your "I told you so" sign. MY "courage of my conviction" was that Obamacare was going to be an immediate and obvious disaster, EVEN IF THE WEB SITE HAD WORKED, simply based on the cost of the policies and the increased deductibles and copays. And there was no point in being run over by a train full of Democrat partiers that only had 10 feet to go before it went over a cliff.

James Hoffa doesn't like

James Hoffa doesn't like Obamacare because it weakens his union bargaining positions and makes it less attractive for someone to join a union. Get real, people.

I just can't imagine anybody that would oppose sick people being able to buy health insurance. I just can't. I guess they would far rather pay more in personal taxes to pay for medical care for those ill people with pre-existing medical conditions. But don't confuse people with the facts.

I am afraid you and most liberals have no clue what the facts are.
