Time to repeal Obamacare

  • Follow Letters

What if you were sold a service contract that turned out to cost much more than you were told because of included services you didn’t want or need? And those services you did need would not be performed by the promised provider? This would clearly be false and deceptive advertising, justifying cancellation of the contract.

Well, that is exactly what has happened with Obamacare. President Obama and the writers of Obamacare planned from the beginning that millions of people would lose their policies and their doctors, and would pay much more in premiums and deductibles. This was why Sen. Max Baucus of Montana, a Democrat involved in the writing of it, said, “This will be a train wreck.” But it was the only way to avoid unacceptable tax increases that would have killed Obamacare even in a Democrat-controlled House and Senate.

So it was written to pass on the cost of insuring all the uninsured to the presently insured in the form of much higher premiums and deductibles. There is no free lunch – unless you are a welfare recipient, an exempted union worker or a member of Congress or congressional staff member.

Obama’s modus operandi is that when the truth doesn’t play to his political advantage, he spins lies and repeats them with great false sincerity: “If you like your doctor, you will be able to keep your doctor, period. If you like your health care plan, you’ll be able to keep your health care plan, period. No one will take it away, no matter what.” And when his lies are found out, he spins more lies to cover the lies he has already told:
“(W)hat we said was you can keep it if it hasn’t changed since the law passed.”

It is now time for repeal. No fixes can ever make work this thing that was conceived in corruption, lies and deceit.

Donald L. Davis

Great letter and right to the

Great letter and right to the point. What we are seeing with the individual mandates are going to occur with the employer mandates as well, and up to 90 million people will lose their insurance when the employer mandate kicks in. The other real issue is that Obama has no constitutional authority to change laws as he sees fit!

Hey Guys and gals,

I think the Teaparty Republicans made these same arguements, and were villified for their staunch opposition to this legislative nightmare. So, why all the upset now?

It's no surprise that the dumb masses don't mind getting screwed as long as it's Obama and his thugg crew. After all these people put him back in office and he is being propped by media darlings and democrats everywhere. Hey, did any of you Demos get a kiss afterwards? Bet not....

No confidence

I the agree it was written to pass the cost of insuring the uninsured to the working people, the taxpayers, another entitlement. I have no confidence in the government managing anything efficiently ( acting or producing effectively with a minimum of waste, expense or unnecessary effort). Millions of dollars just to set up a failed web site. So far this has not produced anything but a mess and lots of lies, and lots of votes for the party supporting it.

Great letter!

Mr. O, you should have listened to Congress instead of being a schoolroom bully, allowing the shutdown of the government because you didn't get your way. Now can you see they were trying to tell you something? You need to take a federal government 101 class and learn that we have a system in place for a very good reason, and "We the People" demand that it be followed. Otherwise, step down and move back to Kenya where your preferred form of politics is probably the norm. Stop apologizing and making more dumb excuses. You aren't as transparent as you first claimed, but we can see right through your lies and deceit. We are not as stupid as you think!

It's my understanding that Obama has lost the endorsement of

a major supporting union...the Snake Oil Salesmen Union...because he is giving snake oil salesmen a bad name.

Under Reagan we had trickle down economics...under Obama we have trickle down entitlements.

And all of the insurance

And all of the insurance companies are on TV this morning saying that Obama has REALLY made a mess of it now. They say they cannot reinstate those canceled policies in time and some state insurance commissioners are saying they are not going back. And EVEN if you could keep you old policy one more year.....YOU WILL STILL BE SCREWED WITH DOUBLED PREMIUM AND HIGHER COPAYS AND DEDUCTIBLES NEXT YEAR.

Obama DID NOT FIX ANYTHING. He was merely trying to offer some COVER to those Democrat Senators that are running for re-election next year.

Obama and the Democrats ARE A DISASTER.....A TOTALLY FAILED DISASTER. They are Socialist ideologues who are completely out of touch with the real world and how things work. Obamacare is a DISASTER, their foreign policy is a DISASTER, and the economy is a DISASTER. They have driven so many people out of the workplace that we now have the LOWEST PERCENTAGE of working age adults employed in 50 years. The ACTUAL unemployment rate is STILL 14%.

Just keep saying it.......THE REPUBLICANS WERE RIGHT ALL ALONG. They tried to tell you but you can't tell a knucklehead anything. They have to learn the hard way. Well now you have it. I present you the DISASTER of the Affordable Care Act.....which is not affordable and will actually lower the quality of your health care.

Not Much I Can Add...

Superb letter by Mr. Davis and excellent comments from the Posters.

President Obama, with the help of democrats in Congress, has perpetrated a monumental hoax on the American citizenry that will cost trillions of dollars, ruin the lives of hundreds of thousands, and ultimately be responsible for the deaths of Americans.

We're watching history in the making. This will be viewed as the most painful, destructive, and expensive failure of any President in history.

All of it, every sickening aspect of it, belongs to President Obama and the democrat party.

Fundamental change coming home to roost.

Remember This....

Senator Ted Cruz and a few other courageous Republicans did everything THEY could do to stop this disaster in its tracks before implementation.

Sadly.....they couldn't get the support of "Conservatives" in Congress, or even many in the media. They were mocked, laughed at, criticized, and demonized by many. They were prescient and they were RIGHT.

Is the letter writer one of those who wants to repeal Obama Care but want to keep the Affordable Health Act? We can put a man on the moon but can't fix the act. It has too many benefits to just throw it out with the baby. Republicans are going to make a lot of voters mad because they will be seen as the villians when the insurance companies have their way with policy holders. But if that is what they want to do, right on. I wouldn't follow Cruz anywhere because he is all about Cruz.
Personally, I think the name is here to stay. (OBAMACARE)

Seriously jack123, that's like telling a starving person I'm going to prepare you a feast fit for a king but when they come to the table it's a rice cake. No substance and all fluff.

Obama continues to lie to

Obama continues to lie to Americans:1) health care in America is poor which is a bold face lie-it's excellent 2) subpar health insurance plans needed to ended-by whose standards? 3) the ACA exchange will offer you a better plan-better by whose definition-affordable =not hardly.
The Obama fix was just throw the ball to the insurance companies and blame them when they can't oblige. The only person who has changed or stopped the implementation of the ACA is Obama. He keeps unilaterally changing the rules. He hamstrings the insurance companies to oblige to new standards and minimums and then at the last minutes says you can't do that for this pool of people. He doesn't want the nightmare so he hopes he can deflect it and demonize insurance companies-likely use that to argue for a govt run single payer system. You can't trust the man so this "solution" is just manipulation for political purposes. The emperor has no clothes and people now know he demonized the tea party for political purposes when they had "real" concerns that turned out to be true.

What's ridiculous is Congress

What's ridiculous is Congress passed a bill based on lies and pork bribery when it wasn't even written yet. The bill wasn't completed till months after the passage. That should be an impeachable offense for such blatant stupidity and irresponsibility by any persons standards.
Now Obama offers a "solution" which is just void. He isn't changing the law or anything-he just made another empty promise.

Jack123,

Obama and his administration could never have put anyone on the moon and return alive. There would have been disaster after disaster and then Obama would claim that even though the Astronauts had died in their attempt to land on the moon, it is still a fact that a man indeed landed.

This is how Obama thinks. This is how he governs. Hmmm....Community Organizer...... Makes you wonder if he even did that correctly, which I have doubts.

"He isn't changing the law or anything...

....he just made another empty promise."

He's not proposing to change the outcome of "The Affordable Care Act," just the implementation schedule. Now he wants to delay the implementation of the "Individual Mandate" for one year.

His purpose, of course, is to get sitting democrat Congressmen and democrat senators facing re-election in 2014 through that election. He couldn't possibly care less about the millions of Americans whose lives he has thrown into great turmoil and whose lives and fortunes are threatened by what he has done (and will do).

It will be interesting to see if Congress has the bal....., er...guts to stand up and assert themselves in their Constitutional role. Their track record isn't so good lately.

And just yesterday, Oprah told a reporter

that criticism of OzBama is rooted in racism.

That's right, we just can't see the greatness of the man and his plan because the color of his skin keeps getting in the way.

I'm still trying to determine whether it's the fifty percent white or the fifty percent black that I'm supposed to hate.

A little help here please?

I'd stick with white hating, if I were you. It's a lot more popular, you'll get the support of the Hollywood elites and the mainstream media and if you go to a college campus it may even help you pick up chicks.

Local guy , about your 12:36

Local guy , about your 12:36 post , no Obama even failed at community organizing. I read a report in a British paper about how the area Obama "Community Organized " in Chicago was worse after he left than before he arrived. Then to make matters worse Obama hooked up with a guy named Rezko who was given the job of renovation and asbestos abatement . The work was so shoddy many of the buildings were uninhabitable . Rezko went to jail for illegal activities . Rezko bought part of the property Obama's house is located on so Obama could afford the property. The land Rezko owned was sold to Obama before Rezko went to jail. The housing market was " hot" when Obama bought the house and Obama got it at less than market value. So Obama even screwed up community organizing but made connections that increased Obama's wealth! So much for the little guy!

When you elect a token instead of a real leader,

you only get what a token can do. This token is a big, fat liar and a stupid, backward commie. He's too dumb to learn from history and thinks he's so smart that he's totally outsmarted himself.

I would not be surprised if we see one of two things happening within the next couple of years: Obummer resigns in disgrace or Obummer is impeached and sent packing for flagrant violations of the Constitution and the laws he pushed through Congress onto the American people.

What a sorry legacy this loser has dumped onto our national history. Can you imagine what his "Presidential" library will be like. They'll probably have to have armed guards all around it to keep any windows intact.

Obama's Presidential library

Obama's Presidential library will have one section of coloring books and thick paged children's books for the low information voters who still support him. The other section will be sealed along with his college transcripts and personal/ official papers only to be opened 50 years after his death or the sun explodes which ever happens last!

Oprah says people are racist

Oprah says people are racist because they discovered their president was manipulative and a liar. That's choice. I'm sure some people do hate him because they are racist, just like some voters hated Hilary for being a woman candidate, or some folks hated Bush because he was a christian, or hate Joe Lieberman because he's jewish and they are anti-semtic. That goes with the territory. They hated Nixon during a debate because he looked unshaven, shabby and sweating too much. People are funny. I'm sure lots of people voted for Obama because they are racist and hate white folks and wanted a black president too. It's a free country (least for now) and people don't have to justify their voting preferences.

I'm sure some people voted

I'm sure some people voted against Obama because they read Hermstein and Murray's "The Bell Curve" and deduced the odds that an African-American like Obama having the intellect to be president is about that of winning the lottery. Now I think that books is misguided and the attitude racist, but some voters likely took that into consideration. His hiding his education records just supports that sort of logic.

You mean "he" lied-for over

You mean "he" lied-for over three years knowing it all along-because that was the structure of the plan-move people from private into the govt exchanges, create new insurance structure with fewer options because the goal is putting everyone in the same pool no matter of age, gender, health condition, etc. so people will get use to it in the move towards a govt run single payer system, cut medicare to expand medicaid, recruit young folks with relatively high premiums to offset costs, raise a bunch of taxes on everyone who works. Ya know fundamental "change"-he forgot "hope" this time. I think this Obamacare implementation has proven my point and argument that govt is incapable of such a task. All large countries like the US with universal health care have poor systems. The only country with any size and a successful system is Japan. After WWII the japanese population had the poorest health, lowest IQ, shortest life span, just all parameters were bad The govt took over the population like cattle and using a universal health care system has changed their population to have the highest longevity of any ethnicity, raised their population IQ, etc. Basically an eugenics approach.
