Put Evans in House seat

Former Augusta Commissioner Calvin Holland endorsed Brian Prince for the House District 127 seat vacated by the late Quincy Murphy. Mr. Holland believes Prince’s experience as a military officer makes him the ideal choice for voters. In particular, Calvin Holland believes Prince’s command success as a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army will translate into success as a politician. That may or may not be true.

However, it was true of Colin Powell. Colin Powell was a U.S. Army four-star general and chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. After retiring from military service, Powell served as secretary of state. He was a great military officer and successful politician. Brian Prince is no Colin Powell.

Fortunately, the voters of House District 127 have a more reliable choice in the Dec. 3 runoff. Diane Evans will succeed.

"Brian Prince is no Colin

"Brian Prince is no Colin Powell."
Then perhaps Mr. Prince is not a racist like Powell.
