Try this Obamacare solution

I believe there is a solution to every problem – which brings me to the health care debacle created by the Obama administration.

No thought was given to the millions of people who would try to go on the Internet to apply for the program, which has complicated the issue even further. If the Republicans and Democrats were smart, they would borrow Hillary Clinton’s “reset” button and make up a new game plan.

First of all, those in charge should start by using the alphabet. There are 26 letters in the alphabet. Those people whose last names start with the first several letters of the alphabet would be the only ones allowed to apply for the next three or so months. Then those with the next several letters would be allowed to apply over the following three months, until the process is completed. Spreading out the application time would be more orderly than everyone trying all at the same time.

Another thing I would do is remove from the law the threats of fines and punishment if you don’t comply. Our Constitution doesn’t allow governments to make up laws to force people to do anything against their will, so it’s an unlawful law. In essence, the Supreme Court justices violated the rights of the people by ignoring their mandate to interpret the law. This also would remove the need to have the IRS involved in enforcing anything.

Gregory J. Topliff

The problem is not the number of people

Mr. Topliff, the problem isn't the number of people, the program simply doesn't work. When being tested it crashed with just a couple of hundred. The Republicans did try a reset. Obama, Harry Reid and the Democrats rejected it some 22 times. That is what the government shut down was about!

Obama's handling of his

Obama's handling of his premier accomplishment, the ACA, is beyond incompetent. We now know Obama is a bone fide liar and has likely lied about Benghazi, IRS, etc. He needs to be impeached for lying to Congress and America about the ACA. If the Senate doesnt' investigate Obama as they did Bush lying about WMDs in Iraq-we all know then all Dems are in the conspiracy and "all" need to be impeached. Let me borrow from Harry Reid "We can no longer tolerate the "culture of corruption" of the Obama administration.

What was the reset idea of

What was the reset idea of the Republicans? They have squandered their credibility by voting to defund/repeal the law 40+ times? And during the hearing last week they were more focused on reading " cute" quips about Kansas and trying to make connections to The Wizard of Oz, rather than seeking info for solutions.

To the letter writer, I heard the Alpha-registering idea from someone else and it does sound plausible.

I understand Chief Justice Roberts had to have back surgery

after he severely twisted it out of whack by saying the unconstitutional penalty fee was a legal tax after the administration and its lawyers emphasized it was not a tax but a fee.

One never hears or reads in the media that Representative Price (R) GA has had an alternative bill to obamacare passed by the House and never considered by the Senate. The media always says the Republicans say no and offer no alternative.

The good thing, as (I never heard him say any thing like that) Obama's pastor, Rev Wright said, "The chickens are coming home to roost." In this case, the "turkey" is coming home to roost.

"No thought was given

"No thought was given ...."

You could have stopped right there because it completely discribes the entire Affordable Care Act (Obamacare).

No thought was given to unitended consequences.
No thought was given to how it would fiancially hurt the working middle class.
No thought was given to how it would destroy the quality of health care.
No though was given to how many doctors and hospitals would refuse to participate in Obamacare.
No though was given to the impact on full time employment and job creation.
And no thought was given to the fact that we will have almost as many uninsured AFTER full implementation of Obamacare as we had BEFORE we destoryed the health care system and DOUBLED AND TRIPLED THE COST.

Basically it is blind Communist ideology implemented at any cost.

Some of you are missing the

Some of you are missing the point of Obamacare. His only goal was to have a single payer system and it had to be done in steps. This mess is just one of the steps. The only way Obamacare can work is if X million healthy, young Americans sign up and pay and then NOT use the system! This will NOT happen and the Obamacare system will come crashing down in about a year. Then the government will come in as a hero, riding a white horse and announce the single payer system. We were sold a bill of goods, folks. We were stupid enough to allow this to happen.

Wait til next year

Wait til 2015 when the remaining group rate premiums skyrocket. Of course the mid-term election will be over. Trying to tell voters their premiums and deductibles will go up is impossible. Most don't know what that means because they have never dealt with health insurance.

In 2010, according to one

In 2010, according to one analysis, 60 percent of Americans were receiving more in government benefits than they paid in taxes. More and more Americans are dropping off the work force and joining the free ride as their benefits match or beat any job. With a voting block like that the 110 million workers will be "enslaved" to support a majority who don't because even if all the workers agree they won't be able to veto the majority who don't.
