Dems' rhetoric disgusting

  • Follow Letters

I have not seen or heard anyone challenge Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and other congressional members’ references to House members as terrorists, jihadists, arsonists, blackmailers, etc. These House members Reid refers to were elected by millions of Americans. The Senate leader has demonstrated profound disrespect for the millions of voters that these House members represent.

Who is going to demonstrate the Senate leader’s abhorrent disrespect for American voters of persuasions other than his?

Recently I heard Reid say that the majority rules. The leader of the Senate does not understand the principles of a republic!

What newspaper or broadcaster is going to stand up for the millions of Americans who are being disrespected by the rhetoric of those such as Harry Reid?

The democrats have gotten a way with name calling for years from

a fawning and compliant media and it still seems to be the case.

They are applying Alinsky's Rules for Radicals of identifying your opponent, isolating him, and then demonizing him.

The best thing for the Republicans to do is to stick to their guns and fight. Speak to every microphone they can get their hands on and do it in simple everyday language.

This shutdown is not playing well in DC and the polling IN DC shows that; however, the opinions of the folks in "flyover country" is behind the Republicans fighting. Polls show Obama's approval rating at 39% and 51% say he is acting solely out of political gain and not what's in the best interest of the people.

This is the time to stand strong and believe in what you are doing. We have caved too many times in the past because we were afraid of what people thought about us.

Even when proven wrong in another thread, you must continue with this NON-truth rhetoric???

This was your comment on another thread "Republicans have blinked, 70% of Americans blame Republicans(rightly so) and all you still keep up with your tripe."

Honestly, where do you come up with your numbers?? Just make them up in your head?

http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-250_162-57605822/poll-americans-not-happy-ab...

44% Blame Republican Congress; 35% blame Obama!!

Even the ultra liberal Huffington Post doesn't spout YOUR numbers!!

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/09/government-shutdown-republicans...

CNN reported 63% of people polled, blamed republicans and 57% also blamed democrats!! People are VERY split on the blame!! Where did you get your 70%?

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2013/10/07/cnn-shutdown-poll-plenty...

A Pew Research Center Survey (who I think might be a little more unbiased) said 39% blame Republicans to 36% blaming democrats.

http://www.politico.com/story/2013/09/government-shutdown-blame-poll-972...

Of course; a Fox News Poll suggested 63% Blame Obama, while 23% blame democrats and 8% blame republicans.

http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/the-five/blog/2013/10/01/poll-who-blame-go...

Now, since I took the time to research and provide the links; would you care to provide WHERE you got the 70% number? I will be waiting to see this!!

My guess is, you will completely ignore my comment and just hope that your message (intentionally inaccurate) gets across.

The numbers democraps put out are pulled from bias polling using questions that are worded in a way to get a certain response. The liberal press is doing this and have done this since time immemorial.

Conservaatives are fighting a two front war. There are the marxist/communist/progressive/democraps and then you have the press. These two forces are hell bent on bringing this country to it's knees and destroying everything that conservatives and free people cherish. Welcome to the police state and third world living.

And if you want to do HONEST research;

You will find the VAST majority, even those who, during the poll questions; said republicans were mostly to blame, also said ALL politicians are to blame.

But I'm quite sure many people have no interest in HONEST debate or research. They want to do the same as Reid and Pelosi; put the blame on republicans, whether it's the truth or not.

I honestly believe that some of these commentors on here and other sites that I comment on, are PAID bloggers; mostly from the democrat side. They are paid to come on sites and repeat the liberal talking points. Why do I believe this? Because utilizing common sense, it's impossible for them to believe the non-sense they spout. Someone must be paying them to spread the lies. It's hard for me to believe that common citizens would blindly believe such ridiculous assertions.

I will stand up to Sen. Reid and demand that he stop using these names to describe the behavior of Republicans as soon as Republicans stop behaving like terrorists, jihadists, arsonists and blackmailers and they speak up when TP and GOP rebuke equally offensive language to describe the president.

There is one poster on this paper who uses the same three descriptors for the president every time he refers to him and I have never read where anyone has said to him/her to knock it off.

Selective disgust.

The President is a racist? Referred to his mother as a "typical white women."

Gosh Rep should have adopted

Gosh Rep should have adopted that language when the Dems crafted the ACA the law. Frank Luntz studied the issue and says because the Dems are using this inflammatory language they are winning the political battle. Which is sad when ad hominem wins over intellect. Course Dems have nothing to run on for policy so they have to resort to name calling.

Sadly, the american people are all being held hostage. Obamacare is as much a farce as every politician in Washington. I am reminded of the saying "politicians are like diapers, they should be changed often and for the same reason"

"Fundamentally Transform America"....

That's what Candidate Obama promised he'd do. So, we elected him twice.

Now, he's doing it.

When he's done, our Constitution will be no longer applicable to the new dictatorship in power and Capitalism will have been replaced by communism. Of course there won't be so many mouths to feed since many will have perished in the revolution.

All the things we worry about today will no longer seem important. We'll get back to basics. Like North Korea, only a little warmer.

Republicans, And Polling Data...

I keep hearing how poorly Republicans are polling these days. That Republicans are now held in lower esteem than the President. To be honest, I don't know where they're getting ANY positive numbers whatsoever.

The blue-blood, country club wing of the Republican Party claims the Tea Party wing is in charge so they vote against it.

The Tea Party wing of the Party believes the RINOs have destroyed it so they vote against it.

Democrats all vote against it by nature.

Libertarians vote for themselves against both mainstream Parties.

So where do ANY positive numbers come from?

So, Truth Matters (obviously not) want's to equate the political impact of one unknown, obscure and anonymous poster on a local newspaper with the Senate Majority leader. I guess in TM's world, they both carry the same influence. Interesting!

Well, not really interesting... just silly.

"Government Shutdown"...

..."US Government Default," "Financial Cliff," all these upcoming horrors are part of a strategy.

For those not familiar, now would be a good time to look up the teachings of Professors Cloward and Piven and see what they have to say about manufactured crises and the method they suggest for bringing down a government.

When you know plan it makes more sense when you see it unfold.

I regret having to say this,

but Republicans in DC have yet to learn that civility left that town decades ago. Until they give up on their idealism and learn to fight just as dirty as the Democrats, they aren't going to win any meaningful legislative battles.

They need to become as aggressive and as mean-spirited as the Democrats and they need to use the same type of confrontational deceptions and half-truths and even outright lies as their "esteemed colleagues" on the left.

What we have going now is the political equivalent of a boxing match where one man wears gloves, the other carries mace and a baseball bat while the referee (media) smiles and looks the other way.

Republicans must stop playing fair while the American people are being being defrauded. The roughly fifty percent of the citizens who voted Republican deserve better.

We may someday return to the point where Democrats become civil, but not as long as their dishonesty works for them.
