Wrong men leading on Syria

  • Follow Letters

Leave it to President Obama to cunningly distract the country from the scandals that plagued his administration for the past year with wanting to strike a sovereign country because its tyrannical leader has gassed his own people.

This would be the same man who opposed the Iraq War and former President George W. Bush for going after another murderous tyrant who gassed thousands of Kurds. His excuse to attack Syria over the use of gas that killed 1,400 or more people is hypocritical at best.

To add insult to injury, Secretary of State John Kerry went public with a great speech to attack another country, telling we the people that we should jump on board.

This is the same man who went before Congress during the Vietnam War and charged, without providing evidence, that our military was committing atrocities in that country. He is the same man who was in-country for three months and put himself up for various medals, then when he returned to the United States he turned protester against the war and had the audacity to throw war medals over the White House fence in protest.

As a 100-percent disabled Marine Vietnam veteran, it’s my opinion that Kerry is a disgrace and is the wrong person to tell the American people that we should get involved in another country’s civil war. As for President Obama, he has come out and placed blame on Congress and the world for making the so-called “red line.” He said that he was simply relating to it, as if his words had no consequences. There’s nothing like accepting responsibility for your actions.

Try as they might, foreign

Try as they might, foreign policies led by a Liberal Democrat administrations, have a history of making America look weak and ineffective. It's in their DNA. They are great pertenders when it comes to looking tough and the world knows this. Liberal Democrat's reputation precedes them time and time again. The only way they combat this perception is to demagogue conservative Foreign policies, but when it's their time in the polical driver's seat, they stumble with ever step. The most recent examples are: Benghazi where four Americans were killed, Egypt and former President Mohamed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood, and now Syria and the myraid of policital gaffes this Administation has committed throughout.

People tend to forget the past but examples abound of democrat blunders throughout modern history.
Images of President Lyndon B. Johnson, White House press secretary George Christian, Gen. Robert Ginsburg, and national security adviser Walt Rostow looking at relief map of Vietnam. in 1968. An armchir warrior determining which target to hit next.
President Carter's failed rescue of American 52 Hostages in Iran on April 24, 1980.
President Clinton's ineffective launching of dozens of cruise missiles for the terrorist bombings of U.S. embassies in East Africa in 1998, and his administration's refusing an offer from the Sudanese government to hand over terrorist mastermind Osama bin Laden in the late 1990's as confirmed by former ambassador to the Sudan Tim Carney.

These are the facts of what Liberal Democrat Foreign Policies look like. It would be great if more Americans could remember this at election time, but I guess that is too much to ask.

An excellent letter that highlights very well some of the

weaknesses of the current administration. Also a super comment by LocalGuy that summarizes the poor leadership and performance of democrats when it comes to foreign policy. It also seems that their presidents with many years of governmental experience such as LBJ and those with little such as Carter and those with none such as obama are incompetent in foreign policy.
