Creator has the answers

In response to Jeff Miller’s letter “Science is mankind’s savior” (Aug. 21): The word “science” is from the Latin scientia, meaning knowledge. Miller’s last sentence was, “Have you any substantive questions for me?”

How can you have knowledge and not believe in an awesome Creator?

Wisdom and knowledge always was with the Creator – no beginning or end; an eternal cycle.

When the universe was created, multiple galaxies were put in place. Earth was put in one galaxy, in orbit around the sun at an ideal distance to control the temperature and to support the longevity of all living trees, herbs, plants and animals; and the creation of land, water and mankind.

Earth’s rotation has the right spin so it won’t get too hot or cold, and the right tilt to control the seasons, and equinoxes in spring and fall to correct orbital time. Earth’s water cycle replenishes us. Earth was equipped with fossil fuels and minerals in the first Earth age before the present Earth age.

Look around – everything you see came from the elements of Earth, even mankind.

It is written:

“My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.” (Psalms 139:15-16)

Knowledge of the truth provides a way to keep your members written in the book and not be blotted out.

Mankind was created in the image of the Creator, having a programmed brain to control body functions, and a mind to add programs to the brain. Mind is synonymous with spirit, which is a free agent to program the brain. Knowledge was given only to mankind.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16) Don’t refuse this offer! He is known in English as Jesus.

Religions are manmade with false teachings and traditions, with different names and denominations. Some even claim the name “Christian.” The nearest we can get to the truth is the Scriptures bound in the Bible, which is the Creator’s instruction book. Don’t just read it – study it and ask for the Spirit of the Creator to guide and help you understand.

good letter David

So good to read true understanding rather than dribble from the religion of science. Any part of science that is true is true because of the creator and being able to prove and depend on the systems God created.

Sorry, Davey my boy, but it's

Sorry, Davey my boy, but it's science that saves souls. Learning and understanding are far easier than you think. All you need is curiosity. The truth is beautiful.

So God created fossil fuels

So God created fossil fuels from the beginning so that mankind can exploit those resources and destroy what he had just built. Hmmmmm.. another fairy tale

Wife very influential

When ever I say things to doubt God, my wife puts me in line by refering to something as common place and yet so complicated as the spider web!! Athiests and agnostics MUST try this thought process!!

GAD how can science save

GAD how can science save souls when science doesn't recognize the soul except to study as a belief-it is a myth to science? It is a philosophical and spiritual concept or poetic reference. Since we humans have now "created life", that opens up the real scientific possibility of intelligent design and a creator (just like we intelligently designed this new life with unique DNA)-not creationism in disguise but a possible intelligent design by an unknown creator. Since now the consensus of science seems to recognize the real possibility of life elsewhere in the universe, then a possible creation of life on earth is possible. Ten years ago you couldn't say that. Given the age of the genetic code is about the same as when the earth formed it appears life may have been seeded on that then inhospitable planet. Peer-reviewed publications indicate Mars may have been the source of life on this planet. Abiogenesis is still a popular theory of life's origin here on this planet, but there are about twenty theories of life's origin. So the quest for the origin of life continues with science. Christians seem satisfied with the answer they have.

Let's apply common sense at the micro level to the discussion

of creationism versus evolution.

Consider the following aspects of the human body:

There are 300 bones in a child that fuse into 206 bones by adulthood.

There are more than 640 skeletal muscles.

There are 93,000 miles of peripheral nerves.

There are about 10 pints of blood.

The human heart which weighs only about a half to 3/4 pound beats 100,000 time a day and 2.5 billion times in a life time.

The average head contains 120,000 hairs.

The human nose can recognize about 10,000 different smells.

We can hear frequencies from 20 Hz (waves per second) to 20,000 Hz.

Using mathematics, probability and statistics, what are the chances of all of these things could have just happened in such a way as to work perfectly as they do in a human? Then think of all the things in the animal and plant worlds and how complicated they are and what are the chances of all of that coming together perfectly?

Consider the human circulatory system made up of the heart, veins, arteries, and blood. Which of these came first in evolution? How did they develop in the correct sequence and why?

Consider how the skeleton, tendons, muscles, nerves, and brain are all tied together to make us operate and try to figure out how all of this happened just by chance. And we have not even touched on the lungs and all associated with them working properly. And this is just the human body.

So, common sense would show that all of this could not have happened by chance if one looks at it at the mico level rather than believing the evolutionists and their many gaps and bursts of evolution. If the world began with a few things and then developed into many things why is it that the number of species of plants and animals are decreasing rather than increasing as the theory of evolution would postulate?

@deestafford, evolution's

@deestafford, evolution's machinery has been at work for a long, long, time. Vertebrates are estimated to have existed for about 500 million years, along with a primitive nervous system. The heart, around 400 million years ago. The reasonably modern cochlea for hearing - around 200 million. Primate-like mammals, around 60 million years. Great apes, 20 million years. According to the fossil record, humans have walked earth for only 200,000 years. The written word has only existed in a reasonably modern form for about 6000 years. One could easily argue, and many do, that the potential for humanity was created with the genetic code itself, and was shaped by conditions on earth for millions of years. Still a rather brilliant creation, though.

I accept both religion and

I accept both religion and science. Human beings and scientific research, are both works in progress. I believe in the Creator that set all of our universe in motion; I don't have to be able to wholly grasp the immensity of creation, or to absolutely and correctly gauge the timeline involved, to take that leap of faith that religion and science are not mutually exclusive, that they are actually complements to each other. I prefer to marvel at what God has wrought and give thanks for it.

My, my such revisionism, trying to make the Bible fit the facts. For thousands of years, no one knew of the Abrahamic God...he was made by man...
