Space wasted on letter

  • Follow Letters

I’m wondering why The Augusta Chronicle would waste precious space for the featured letter full of supercilious, blatherskite titled “Science is mankind’s savior” (Aug. 21). The writer is an egocentric narcissist, blithering on about his rejection of God and his disdain for those who question him. In considerably less than 300 words I would say: Who cares about his private demons?

When there are so many problems in our country and the world that need intelligent thought, why focus on one atheistic malcontent spewing his venom? Please, Augusta Chronicle, save the precious space on your printed page for something with depth of content and intelligent discourse!

When our taxpayer dollars are going to Egypt, Israel and

the defense of Sunni monarchies in the Persian Gulf, I think it matters more than a little how religion informs policy, especially with the obvious disconnect between these, which are but three examples out of many.

let those without God speak

The Word says God laughs at the foolishness of man so we can too. Many keep God quite entertained I am sure. It takes a ton of faith to see the world around you and believe it all just happened. The Bible says it is not within a man to direct his own path. When we look at Godless government leaders can we all agree with that verse.

The letter writer says that if you believe different than her than what you say is "venom". How 'bout the golden rule.............and the least of my brethren?

".....an egocentric narcissist...." Sounds like somebody forgot Matthew 7:1-2 from their Holy book: "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." WOW - here come the religious again with their total hypocrisy and The Chronicle thinks they're just killing J.M. and his letter. How come this writer didn't answer the questions?

Space wasted on letter - just exactly what this letter is. Looks like the religious have their panties in a wad.

Those Who Receive.

"But as many as RECEIVED Him, to THEM He gave POWER to become the SONS of God, even to them that BELIEVE on His name . "( The Gospel of John chapter 1 verse 12 NKJV).

Intresting. This tells me that those who do not receive Him, do not belong to Him anyway, although He created them, they are not His. So then, how do we expect those who have not received, and refuse to belong to even believe?

Please continue to allow

Please continue to allow space for supercilious blatherskite by an egocentric narcissist, malcontent, religious person who wishes us to focus on her as she is spewing venom at someone who holds different beliefs than her. Ironic and mirthful.
