Obama lied? You don't say

  • Follow Letters

The governments of France, Britain and other Western nations joined the United States in temporarily closing many of their consulates in the Middle East and Africa recently. This is because of suspected threats by al-Qaida to attack.

Good idea, since we didn’t listen a year ago when our Benghazi, Libya, consulate was in imminent danger, and the administration and State Department did nothing to prevent the deaths of four Americans!

Wait a minute – I thought President Obama assured us nearly two years ago that al-Qaida was “on the run” and essentially defeated in the Middle East and Africa! What’s happening? Is it possible that our president snow-jobbed us to win the 2012 election? Oh no – tell me it ain’t so!

Of Course

KSL, a little known embarrassment for Obama occurred during a Senate hearing put together by Barbara Boxer on Climate Change. During a recent speech President Obama said "The rate of increase in temperature of the World has accelerated over the last 10 years" . During Boxer's hearing some one ask the panel of "Climate Scientists" if this was true. The crickets were chirping. Temperature has been flat for the last ten to fifteen years. One of the panelists tried to say well you have to look at longer time periods. The questioner wouldn't bite and insisted they respond to President Obama's statement, again silence. Obama is such an embarrassment!!!

Lied??

Is it beyond your comprehension that during the time when the President made that statement, based on the information he had at the time, and now that the situation changed? Has nothing changed in your life or my life in the last two years? al-Qaida is a constantly changing loosely organized group, not someone that anyone can control, as is evident by their activities.

It's tiresome having every issue being made into a lie or a cover up or something it isn't just because someone doesn't like the President. In reality, they don't like the President's race and don't have the guts to be up front about that.

It's more tiresome when a group of politicians wastes four years of our tax dollars trying to prevent the President from being re-elected rather than doing their jobs. And it continues to be tiresome when they now expend untold amounts of time and energy opposing everything the President tries to do. Again, they are wasting our tax dollars and failing to do their jobs.

Get a grip and start focusing on those who are supposed to be representing our needs who know no form of discussion except confrontation and digging in their heels.

Am I to conclude that KSL and

Am I to conclude that KSL and the letter writer voted for President Obama only because they thought that Al-Qaida was "on the run". If they did, then they probably were the only ones. No. 1 , there was no opposition. No. 2, when the tea party showed up at their rallys with a few holding up racists signs, that was a turn off for many Americans and should have been. No.3, the remark from the senate leader about his No. 1 objective. I hope he never speaks to a high school government class about the purpose of congress. The Republican, the Tea party, and Fox News have created the president that we have now.
A spirit of cooperation would have created a different president. They mocked the health care program that was passed by calling it Obama Care. The name stuck. Now, they regret that because this is the biggest measure since Social Security. No man that looks like Obama should get credit for something this big. If the name was changed, the opposition would go away. You noticed, there are no amendments to make it better, only 50 votes to repeal it. I don't blame him for doing his own thing and being above it all. He knows this only frustrate the opposition and fox news. The opposition could have taken a different road. They got what they asked for. Besides, we are not worried about reelection.

This has been shown time and time again to be a lie. Why do you continue to say it? How about this. Show us ONE picture of a racist sign at a tea party event. (IF you can find one, THEN we can talk about who is holding it, but I doubt you can find one.)

""Crickets chirping". Straight from climatedepot and Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow funded by Exxon, the Koch's, and Scaife (Gulf Oil). I wonder why they would pour millions into climate change denial? The flat temp was the constant talking point of Inhofe (R) who was President of Quaker Life Insurance Company and drove it into receivership. not a scientist. He's just parroting the oil barons' (and his donors') talking points, not science.

Thanks Bodhisattra for your 8:21 Post. This should put Humble Angel's
mind at rest today. The tea party allowed their ideas be hijacked and didn't seem to mind. I did an earlier post just before the president's election where I predicted the economy would turn around soon after his reelection. There would be no reason to try to further stunt the economy. Listening to Rush caused a lot of small businesses to lose revenue because Rush told them not to expand and not to hire. Small businesses should sue Rush for lost revenue. Think of where the economy would be now, had they not listen to Rush.

Could it be that they were staged to prove YOUR point? (that explains the one about "teabaggers") You have ZERO evidence that they are at a TEA Party rally.....Don't you? It's ok to just admit it.

KSL, What the tea party fail

KSL, What the tea party fail to realize is that when people see signs like those, it draws them to Obama. The Republicans and the tea party often times, shoot themselves in the foot. We are a better generation than that. These people are a dying breed. When they are 80 and 90 years old and preparing to leave here, they will show regrets. Think of the the good they could do now.

I'm still waiting for the "sweeping changes" that they were going to make after being elected.

They are just like all the other politicians, all talk, no action.
