Obamacare indoctrination?

  • Follow Letters

Schools should be teaching the basics – mathematics, reading, writing, science. But, and this might not surprise you, the Los Angeles Unified School District will use a $990,000 state grant to train teens to promote Obamacare to family members. Covered California, the state’s health insurance exchange, received grants totaling $37 million. This will be used to promote the new health-care law statewide.

Now, some might be OK with this. After all, people need to be informed and need to know how Obamacare will work. But others say this is just another form of government indoctrination, and will result in more people becoming more dependent on the government.

The thought process behind this test program is that there is growing concern that not enough people will sign up and not enough states will meet the deadline for setting up exchanges. In fact, some states – I believe Georgia is one – have decided not to set up an exchange. This could mean big problems for a law that already is considered by some to be nightmare.

I also heard that the Department of Health and Human Services is working with the NFL to run commercials supporting Obamacare. Don’t you think that if Obamacare was so great, everyone, including members of Congress, would sign up as quickly as possible?

You would not need to advertise.

The story was reported by Fox News. I did not see it reported on other major media sources. So even if you do not trust Fox News, go and research this program. Be informed, not indoctrinated.

Excellent letter Mr. Weber

The mandate for employers has been pushed back a year. There isn't enough funding for people with preexisting illnesses (400,000 were supposed to sign up but only about 135,000 have) the 135 thousand have already burned through 5 billion dollars for the program. Unions are upset that their benefits will be cut. LOL I am cooking popcorn this is going to be fun to watch! http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=obama+care+over+runs&source=web&c... Premiums for the young and healthy are going to double and possibly triple. It will be ran by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). No wonder Obama wants the NFL etc. to sell this folly. I understand the NFL has said no!

Well done letter. Only an imbecile who is smart enough

to dupe the masses would sell a concept that you can add people to a system, increase coverage, increase requirements, and then say the cost will go down. I believe there were people in the Congress and the White House who actually believed that because they lack experience in the real world.

This plan did not originate with obama because he is not intelligent enough to think of it. Oh, he thought of the idea of the government paying for everyone's health care because of his being influenced by communists as he was growing up, but the frame work and the nuts of bolts of this obamacare had been sitting in the desks of the left for decades just waiting for the opportunity to spring in action.

Eventually, this thing will die of its own weight but we will suffer for a time before that happens.

I don't know if the people on the left who came up with this are stupid or ignorant. I guess I lean toward stupid because one should never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.

"I guess I lean toward stupid because one should never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups."

The Democrat party is led by a small core of dedicated socialists who are supported and voted for by a large number of gimmee sumpthin' free voters. Obamacare, their first huge socialist victory, is proving to be unaffordable and unworkable and it has scared the hell out of the true believers. They are so scared they are afraid to let it be 100% implemented before the 2014 elections. They know it's, their leadership's words, "a train wreck".

And now ALL sides and the CBO are admitting that after Obamacare is implemented, it will cost us TWICE what they told us it would AND we will still have 30 million people who are uninsured.......which is pretty close to what we had BEFORE they doubled the cost of insurance, taxed us, and ruined our health care system. No wonder they are running from it and trying to delay it until after the election. Again Obama is picking and choosing which parts of HIS law he will enforce and I hope the Republicans take him to court and FORCE the full implementation in January 2014 like the LAW says. THE DEMOCRATS called the game, now it's time to lay the cards on the table and let's see which side was bluffing........BEFORE THE 2014 ELECTION.

I'm certain that some are stupid, many are ignorant but all are conditioned to believe in government as infallible.

They really think.... "If government is in total control, I don't need to worry. The solution is at hand."

It is estimated that a family

It is estimated that a family of 4 will pay $20,000 a year for health insurance in 2014. Many families of 4 barely clear that amount after taxes.
You are told that if you can't afford it, and qualify, the government will supplement your payments with a tax credit....A tax credit. No money, no payment to your insurance company to keep it going (that is up to you) but a tax credit!

In the 60s and 70s black men were targeted by the communist party. Young ignorant, dumb white women, like Obama's mother, were used to seduce black men into joining the communist party.
