Hearings abandon justice

  • Follow Letters

After watching the dog-and-pony show put on by the Democrats in the IRS hearings, it reminded me of the Benghazi hearings. Here, one Democratic congressman admonished one of the people abused by the IRS because they picketed an abortion clinic. Another gave a long speech about Newt Gingrich being fined for misusing funds when he was speaker of the House. Yet another brought up situations during the Bush administration that supposedly involved a church that was treated unfairly.

What they failed to mention was that no one in the Democratic Party acted to bring the offenders of the alleged crimes to justice, with the exception of Gingrich. What they failed to mention was that an election was in the offing, and that the Tea Party people wanted to fight what they saw as a constant barrage from the Obama administration against the rights of the people. What they failed to mention was that those targeted were denied their right to form a group to challenge the Democrats, which also denied them their First Amendment rights.

Being an independent voter not affiliated with either party, it is plain to see that justice and truth matter little to Democrats. The modus operandi of the Democrats is to do the side-shuffle to distract the public from the illegalities of which they are guilty. That is all that one saw and heard during these so-called hearings to bring justice to the aggrieved.

To add insult to injury, U.S. Rep. Charles Rangel, D-N.Y., was on the panel; he was found guilty of tax fraud not too long ago.

If you are looking for justice, you won’t find it in this country any more.

Good one fedex, attack the writer and make sarcastic, baseless accusations. Why not go for the trifecta and call him a racist? Don't even bother addressing anything that was written....it's easier that way.

Dog and pony show?

It's more like an abomination of public office and public duty. What else would you expect from a corrupt administration with an evil agenda? Truth and trust?

truth or agenda ?

Want the truth or want the agenda ? very telling of those who jump to conclusions expecting the whole time to have their 'agendas' validated by 'cherry picking'. Issa has turned his committee hearing into a dog and pony show by showing his partisanship and acrimony twords the administration. Of course those who WANT to hear a simple answer of collusion and manipulation will be satiated by the selective 'outting' of testimony that supports their parinoid outlook. for the rest of us, we will wait until ALL the work the committee is doing is in. To make asertions with the limited information now available is like making a decision after a prosecutors opening statements, all he is saying is what he WANTS to prove... now lets let the evidence be the fulcrum on which a judgement is based. This may take some time... and I know how so many just love to jump to conclusions when it comes to this administration, only to get egg on their face when the FACTS come out.

I bet dollars to doughnuts

I bet dollars to doughnuts that no matter WHAT the evidence shows, the liberals here will continue to support Obama. They have shown no signs of changing that so far. The same one's who say "Bush lied" and called him a war criminal, with no evidence of either, are clamoring for us to wait for the evidence now. Why the change of heart?

Since thoughts are so heavy

Since thoughts are so heavy with 2012 I recall that every time a Republican, Romney and Ryan included, the Democrats were laying in wait with the gotcha comebacks.
Could we now have the answer to how this happened. Isn't it possible that, just as Harry Reid and others knew what would be said in advance, perhaps ...Just wondering.....
And how about any future election....on my!

Translation: Democrats are on the hot seat this time around, so let's not rush to judgment.

We need more time to parse words and phrases and to construct a scenario for "plausible deniability". Things we didn't need to worry about when we were gleefully piling on old George Bush.

I heard a clip just today on TV with ole Joe Biden in 2006 criticizing Bush policies, calling them intrusive. Where is he, by the way. Shouldn't he voice his opinion the current policy. Not everyone heard him.

Was the IRS planning to spy on its own employees? Suspected whistleblowers?

Perhaps we should wait for them to explain the need for spy cameras. Oh wait, they cancelled the order. No harm, no foul. And probably no explanation, ever.

"Remember "weapons of mass

disstruction" (sic) and "Mission accomplished"!!"

.

First, Mission Accomplished was the idea of the ship's captain, not Bush who saw the sign for the first time, and at the same time that the rest of the world saw it!

Second, I get a kick out of the love affair Democrats have with the phrase "Weapons of Mass Destruction" Do you libs have ANY IDEA what the charges against the Boston bomber include?? Let me clue you in... He's charged with the use of a "Weapon of Mass Destruction"! Now, would you like to tell us that Saddam did not even possess a pressure cooker?

No matter what Bush believed to be a WMD, he only relayed what our great American Intelligence community told him they believed. The same intelligence community that is now screening our (liberal and conservative) communications and ignoring Russian warnings about terrorists in our midst.

Seriously, Saddam didn't have a pressure cooker? Wish I had known, I could have loaned him my wife's.

Don't you just love it when liberals try SO hard to make a point and fall flat on their little faces??

BTW, for those who like to split hairs.

A war, any war is made up of MANY missions. (If you've never been in combat you'd have no way to know that.)

The mission to boot Saddam from power HAD been accomplished. In that respect, the ship's captain who ordered that banner printed and displayed was ABSOLUTELY CORRECT!

OzBama, on the other hand told us recently that Al-Qaeda was on the run and we were winning the War on Terror.

Any liberal endorsements out there on that proclamation?
