State takes passing notice

On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to express condolences to the family, colleagues and friends of attorney William Hale Barrett, longtime partner with the Hull Barrett law firm in Augusta, on his recent passing.

Mr. Barrett’s exemplary career in the legal profession spanned nearly 60 years, during which time he earned a stellar reputation as a practitioner of corporate law. He was a leader in the legal profession, serving as president of the Augusta Bar Association in 1973 and as chair of the State Bar of Georgia’s Corporate and Banking Section in 1975-76.

All Georgia lawyers can be inspired by Hale Barrett’s lifelong commitment to promoting the cause of justice, upholding the rule of law and protecting the rights of all citizens. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Robin Frazer Clark

President

State Bar of Georgia
