Keep on guard at all times

Over the past 50-some years I have had many opportunities to enter Camp and then Fort Gordon. Each time I marvel at the cleanliness and beautiful grounds that are so well-kept. No vehicles racing like there is no tomorrow, no cell phone conversations while driving down the road – speed limits that better be adhered to, or you can pay a ticket. I only hope the government does not come up with the idea to shut the fort down to save money.

The construction that has gone into Fort Gordon and the training that is taking place here is part of our defense against all enemies, foreign and, if need be, domestic. I realize things are quiet right now, but one never knows; they manage to slip in impossible ideas and ruin the lives of many, and don’t care one bit. Example: Gracewood. Totally unreal! It behooves all of us to be on guard, day and night! God bless our troops, America and the citizens of this country.
