Libya hearings are disastrous

The Benghazi fiasco investigation should have testimony from President Obama’s personnel asking where Obama was on the night our ambassador was brutally beaten and murdered.

The answer will most likely be “We don’t know” – which should help U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and the others request the presence of Obama himself to tell them where he was.

Naturally Obama will invoke “executive privilege” and not show up. Then the American people will understand better about Clint Eastwood’s conversation with an empty chair. It is only an empty chair you will hear from on Benghazi.

Or unemployment.

Or the war on Christians.

Or the Constitution.

Or ...

Oh Clifford. Don't you

Oh Clifford. Don't you recognize a witch hunt when you see one? The GOP did the same with Clinton. I suspect they will try to do the same to Mrs. Clinton after 2016, if they can hold a majority in the House.

The CIA description of the

The CIA description of the attack were changed and a false narrative was presented to the American people on five differant talk shows. Obama reinforced the lie at a UN speech. So lying to the American people and the UN is OK? The memos discribing the changes in the CIA account which, by the way, never mentioned a demonstration, but did mention the terrorest group by name!

Well worded LTE

This is LTE is worded well and easy to understand. Sometime I just wish that "I could go along to get along". I still stand by my conviction about having soooo much todo about 4 deaths and hardly any about the thousands of troops !

Right.

Because the President of the United States should be awake 24/7 and personally take care of every branch of government simultaneously.

Actually Obama was on his way to Nevada to fund raise and party with Beyonce and JZ. That getting reelected and parting along with golf are important one has to lie to the American public!

It has been reported by politico that the White House held an off the record deep back ground meeting on Bengahzi. Gee another secret meeting from the most open administration and, of course, the lame stream media will go along.

When the phone rang Obama

When the phone rang Obama said "don't bother me, I've got to get up early to fly to a fund raiser tomorrow" and Hillary said "take two mortar rounds and call me in the morning if you are still alive".

And Hillary says "what does it matter". And t3bledsoe says it isn't important when compared to those lost in the wars. Well, it's important to me. I already know who authorized the wars. Practically ALL of the Democrats and Republicans approved the wars. Now I want to know who is responsible for this debacle. Who failed to give them security. Who ignored their calls and didn't even try to dispatch assistance. Who told the rescue forces and available aircraft to "stand down". We already know there was a cover-up. Now I want to know who they are covering for. I already know our current president is incompetent in foreign policy, military, and most other matters and now I want to be sure everyone knows that Hillary is incompetent and IS NOT who you want answering the phone in the White House during a crisis. I want everyone to know how ruthless this administration is and how far they will go to lie and cover-up their screw ups. I want everyone to know that they will lie and let people die to win an election.....of course Hillary already has a track record with dead bodies and cover-ups for political purposes. And so does Obama with his cover-up for Holder and his gun running operation.

It's important. Along with the latest revelations of the Obama administration using the IRS as a weapon against conservative groups this may be one of the most important issues ever for the future of this country. 2016 is rapidly approaching and we need to know the extent of this administration's cover-up and most importantly, Hillary Clinton's actions during the crisis and her involvement in the cover-up.

"The GOP did the same with Clinton."

And the Dems (with Republican cooperation) did the same thing with Nixon, who was perceived to be not involved until their persistence paid off.

When all the facts are in.... does anyone have any doubt that Obama's hands are just a little dirty???? There is one certain and logical way to find out.

Gotta give the Dems one thing though. They are loyal to a fault. They, and their friends in the media are much more adept at covering scandal than are the hapless Republicans.

BTW: Nixon would not have been exposed if Republicans had circled the wagons around him as do the Dems in each and every single one of their criminal and ethical failures.

Time to let some sunshine in on this atrocity.

Agree

I totally agree with Carcraft, dichotomy, dee (especially the head warlock, good one dee) and Darby. Especially Darby's last paragraph. There have been so many scandals, unconstitutional EOs, regulations, etc that it's a wonder (shamefully) he and others haven't been impeached or jailed.

The House needs to wake up Spkr Boehner and start impeachment proceedings and get a Select Committee for Benhgazi and the IRS

"Because the President of the United States

should be awake 24/7 and personally take care of every branch of government simultaneously."

.
No, because the president is Commander-in-chief and as is ANY military commander, he is "Responsible for anything his organization does or fails to do."

Why would that rule apply to every platoon leader, company commander, battalion commander, brigade commander, division commander and then suddenly..... the buck stops abruptly just short of the Oval Office?

Why should Obama be insulated simply because of party loyalty?

Explain that to the survivors and family of those who were abandoned and left to die.

Harry Truman may well have been the last Democrat president who understood honor and who deserved the loyalty and support of the American people.

.
That's not a conviction, that's the blatant manifestation of a political position.

The "thousands of troops" you callously refer to are fighting a war, just or unjust, but they have not and will not be abandoned, left defenseless to a superior enemy force as these helpless civilians were in Benghazi.

Anyone who knows what he's talking about would never attempt to posit a moral comparison.

I have stated many times

I have stated many times there is a differance between being in the ARMED services and the DIPLOMATIC corps. Every year members of the ARMED SERVICES die in TRAINING. When was the last time a member of the Diplomatic corps die in training? This is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard.

What next indeed, KSL? How

What next indeed, KSL? How long are we going to behave like savages, sending our young men and women off to die far from home? It sure makes us feel better when we can blame a politician we don't like, but if we don't stand against the idiocy of war, it's our own faults.

It wasn't the president that shot down that copter. It was the theatre of war. If you treat lethal aggression as a problem solver, you're going to have dead young men and women. There's no way around it. You can blame the politician you don't like until you're blue in the face, but it's not going to change the wasteful stupidity of war.

Sometimes war is an evil

Sometimes war is an evil necessity! Stopping Hitler was better than holocausts the world over or rapes of Nanking across the US. Kicking the Taliban out of Afghanistan was better than 4 or 5 more world trade centers!

"How long are we going to behave like savages,

sending our young men and women off to die far from home?"

.
Let's see now, since war has been going on since the advent of recorded history, and probably long before that, I'm guessing it will never end.

If I'm right, and since it takes two to tango, (war has never been a unilateral endeavor) then the only path to peace and/or survival has been and always will be, to be better prepared and stronger than those who would destroy you.

If burninator had his way, we would have sued for peace (surrendered) on December 8, 1941 immediately following the attack on Pearl Harbor.

That way we could be keeping all that Honda and Toyota money at home, right? And I'm only guessing but I suspect that Adolf and Eva's kids would be running things in Europe and Great Britain now?

Some people certainly have a strange view of reality.
