Whose kingdom are we in?

  • Follow Letters

Jason Collins, Kim Kardashian, David Petraeus, Mark Sanford, American Idol, title pawnbrokers, payday lenders, DUI offenders and legalized gay marriage are examples of why the United States is more like the kingdom of Satan than the kingdom of God.

In I Corinthians 6:9, the Bible says, “Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexual offenders, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”

“In God we trust” is more than a motto – it is a way of life. You’re either with God or with the other guy.

Many, are with the other guy

BUT, God has foretold us all things. People need to change their ways; or realize their very existence will be destroyed, period.

Has He foretold us all things?

Example: Link below is Lesbian activist Masha Gessen talking about doing away with the institution of marriage, all together AND this being the REAL goal of pushing gay marriage.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJrmBocx0o4

1 Timothy 4:1 "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;"

1 Timothy 4:2 "Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;"

1 Timothy 4:3 "Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth."

Are you going to sit here and tell me God didn't forewarn us of everything that would be used against those who love Him?

The bottom line is; there is still time. People need to CHOOSE with their own free will, to begin an understanding of who God really is. Develop a PERSONAL relationship with Him; and be saved. The alternative is very bleak.

The whole show? Not a big fan - some of the contestants sing a little off-key for my taste, but "wicked?" Really?

I would think that Christians would be thankful for satan. Without satan, there would be no need for God. Come on people, you're adults and this is 2013! There is really an evil mythological creature who is behind all the evil in the world? Actually the only real evidence that satan actually exists is Justin Bieber.

Just because one nut says something on youtube doesn't mean that's the way everyone thinks. They may even have followers but it still doesn't mean squat. We have 311.5 million people in the US, a lot have screws loose. Turn on the Glenn Beck show and you'll see a perfect example. Heck, people even pay to listen to his nonsense.

That particular youtube video had a whopping 3,059 views, with 4 thumbs up and 17 thumbs down, which means most folks ended up getting suckered in clicking on it like we did from a link and didn't even watch the thing. Even then it's over 4 to 1 against it. 4 thumbs up? That's the entire movement in favor of gay marriage? That's not even the cast of Glee.

For 11 years I couldn't

For 11 years I couldn't understand why God allowed my nephew's mother to continue her immoral life of drugs and prostitution, while passing that behavior on to two young boys. I have to believe that HE was giving her every opportunity to turn her life around. She didn't, and died of a brain annurism. Now my nephew's are following the same path. I truely believe that we are all given a choice. "You are either with God or with the other guy".

First of all; Satan isn't

First of all; Satan isn't responsible for ALL the evil in the world, just as the LP's "Savior" (Barack Obama) isn't responsible for all that each INDIVIDUAL LP does. He is simply the LEADER of the party. Satan was simply the leader of the rebellion against God. Ultimately, what is responsible for ALL the evil in the world is FREE WILL and what INDIVIDUALS do with their own free will. THIS, is exactly why MANY will have to be destroyed; because they choose of their own free will to live a life against God.

God will NEVER destroy free will; therefore he MUST destroy those individuals who use their free will to do others harm and against his rules and regulations. If you think about it; THAT is the ONLY way we will ever have true peace on this earth.

@Bodhisattva

Well, if YOU would look into it a little; you would find out this wasn't just some silly video on youtube; as you are attempting to pass it off as. She was speaking at a conference about gay marriage. Did you hear the audience applauding her? This crowd certainly have her thousands of thumbs up.

The 17 thumbs down were probably from many liberals like yourself; who don't like the fact it exposed the true agenda. Now here you are clamoring to make excuses and belittle the video; because it's not time to expose the true agenda yet. I'm sure some of the thumbs down were people like me; because the agenda makes me sick to my stomach.

If only American's would WAKE UP and actually listen to what people say from their own mouths; the agenda would be stopped in it's tracks. But common American citizens WANT to believe nothing bad will happen in this Country. They WANT to believe we are completely safe and their is no hidden agenda with other Americans. Their desire to NOT believe what they hear; will be their downfall. When they finally wake up and see what's going on, it will be too late.

The mortal dilemma consists in the double fact that man is in bondage to nature while at the same time he possesses a unique liberty-- freedom of spiritual choice and action. ub

If a person truly does not believe in something he just ignores it. Big foot, space aliens etc. I would not waste one minute of my time arguing or discussing these issues with people who actually believe these things exist.
The fact that so many people get so exercised and upset with those of us that believe tell me we have hit an exposed nerve. God has placed enough truth in each persons heart that testifies of His existence that their conscience is testifying against them with regards to this truth.

Well since I spent the majority of my life as secular I completely understand the skepticism with the Abraham religions. God-as a trinity-created everything (so Jesus did it), one of his closest and best angels falls (Satan) and convinces a bunch of other lesser angels to follow-apparently there was a heavenly war too. Lots of gore, blood and other draconian acts follow in the old testament, then suddenly a complete change in mood with the New Testament with Christ and then another powerful influence Paul as the "religion" evolved. Doesn't make any sense unless you study it for years (you can study it for a year too) and finally see how the whole bible weaves a coherent complete story from Old to New Testament. Seems like a completely different "God" in the two testaments but actually not. Some of the bible is symbolic, allegory, tales, stories of the past, present and future so it is really confusing where you are what is going on. Must be like "relativity" which isn't empirically obvious nor logical but really does make sense once you ponder it awhile-and is reality.

Yes, you have, but not the nerve you presume.

The difference here is that THESE alien Bigfoot believers want it taught in schools, integrated into gov't, and established as the foundational principle of our nation. They go so far as to claim that our civil rights are derived from the alien Bigfoot.

"Hit a nerve" is an exceptionally mild description of the feelings many have towards turning our nation into an alien Bigfoot nation.

Social compact.

It is power structures in society, not God, that incarcerates and/or restricts individual liberty.

Rights are a social compact to limit societal power over individual liberty.

-------
Feel free to send me a link the next time God stops an execution or a military action or a murder to preserve a "God-given" or "inalienable" right.

Rights that pertain to your physical state only exist to the extent that they have a physical reality. A "God-given" or "inalienable" right that is never enforced by God is a meaningless entity. It is a fiction.

The only real rights are those created and enforced by social compact, and full acknowledgment of that empowers true, bottom-up democracy.

The opposite of true, bottom-up democracy is an ideology that claims to have knowledge of extra-human rights and moral codes, which, of course, are communicated and enforced by those authorities with a "special relationship" with that extra-human entity. Feel free to live one's personal life that way, but a civil society forced to adhere to an authoritarian form of civil rights and restrictions is an anathema to true democracy. There is a reason why a religious source of rights and morality has been the best friend of monarchs and authoritarian heirarchies for millennia.
