Obama's attitude shameful

I read an article by Nile Gardiner, a former aide to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, in the London newspaper The Telegraph, titled “Will Barack Obama ever stop apologizing for America?”

Mr. Gardiner wrote: “I’ve just watched a clip of Obama’s speech in Mexico City, where the president blames the U.S.A. for the gun violence in Mexico. Is there no end to the apologies that President Obama has made for his own country? Instead of blaming America, Obama should have called on the Mexican government to do more to deal with the drug gangs and the lawlessness, which is spilling over the border into the U.S.A. Why not praise the courageous work of U.S. law enforcement agents fighting against Mexican drug cartels?

“It’s about time that Mr. Obama stood up for his own country instead of frequently talking America down and lowering its prestige on the world stage. Every apology Obama makes internationally weakens the United States.”

Obama made references to drugs, guns and violence in Mexico. Yet at no time did he mention how his attorney general, Eric Holder, executed the “Fast and Furious” policy in Mexico, where the U.S. Justice Department purchased guns and handed them over to drugs lords in Mexico.

Obama also apologized for our immigration system. Obama said, “We are a nation of laws, and like every nation we have the responsibility to ensure that our laws are upheld. But we also know that, as a nation of immigrants, the immigration system we have in the United States now doesn’t reflect our values.” Nowhere did he mention that the Mexican government encourages illegal immigration to the United States.

Obama is ashamed of this country, and I am ashamed to call him my president.
