Senators disappoint voters

First let me say how proud I am to be an American – to live in a nation that grants its citizens rights such as the ones spelled out in the U.S. Constitution’s First and Second Amendments. I am proud that we can debate for and against those amendments without fear of retaliation.

It is for that same reason that I write saying, for me, it is a sad day in Georgia when our two U.S. senators voted “no” on a gun bill that would not infringe on the rights of any law-abiding citizen to exercise their First or Second Amendment rights.

Shame on you, Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson.

I too reamed Saxby Chambliss

I too reamed Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson a new one, until it was explained to me there was Political Agreement to allow the vote, and then KILL THE BILL.

They allowed the vote because they knew they had the NO votes.

Do I trust either one 100% NO, more like 51%.
Shameful Saxby and his many screwups never stood a chance at re-election.

Johnny is about to the point of retiring also, but still with some dignity.

The NRA has the power that they have because many people support them.Or to put it into perspective , people join in massive numbers because they agree with what they advocate. So the NRA isn't a faceless beast it is millions of people who are willing to join in a common cause.

Your comment seems to be "double talk" to me ! How can you want TOTALLY FREE gun freedom without thinking about what type of person is getting guns !!

If you are convicted of a CRIME you give up your rights. Are you proposing that the mentally ill (defined at the whim of government) be forced to give up their rights when they have committed no crime?
