Americans too immature

  • Follow Letters

Do you ever get the feeling that we Americans are some of the most selfish, self-centered and immature brats who ever lived? I am not claiming to be guilt-free, but look at our national situation as a whole!

We have supposed “leaders” in Washington, D.C., who will not agree to take care of our own in the form of health-care reform. But they continue, well over 10 years, to send U.S. troops into harm’s way and to spend hundreds of billions of dollars on two unnecessary wars in countries that are reported to have very corrupt governments!

We probably have a large percentage of the richest, most powerful people in the world, yet these brats are the very Americans who are sending our jobs, and perhaps our very future stability, to other countries! At what point in unemployment and underemployment will these so-called “Americans” understand the very real damage they are causing to the very country they call home?

The overwhelming majority of us are not guilt-free, either. When are the parents and grandparents of our generation going to understand that you cannot always treat yourselves and little Johnny and Sue to every brand-new doodad that comes along? There probably are millions of Americans who are absolutely so immature in their finances that they have very little savings, yet they treat themselves to every monthly billing service amenity available!

I believe I heard on the national news that the U.S. government is technically in debt to China by more than $300 billion. I truly pray the rampant selfishness, self-centeredness, and gross immaturity in our nation will subside before we all are totally indebted to foreign powers!

What do

you reckon a car/truck, household appliance or a loaf of bread cost if unions didn't jack the price up 1,000%? We're spoiled alright! People who vote democrat for a living suck the life out of the honest, hard-working person who fights just to keep his/her head above water. Show me a union worker with money problems and I'll show you a person who throws away their money.

Thanks for all the feed-back !

My better half will be home soon and probably take-over the computer. If any of you have e-mail and / or twitter and / or Face-book communication with HA, tell her to get back in the game. I have not done as much as my wife expected out of me today, because The AC was kind enough to print my LTE. Had to stay in touch with you-all about what you thought about my LTE.

Wow, all that blame being throw around in the letter

and not one word about the snoty, elitist, spoiled, self-centered leaders in government who continue to grow the bloated, inefficient, insatiable federal government, spending money we don't have, and kicking the can down the road?

KSL - As kids in my generation

When we wanted a RC and a Moon Pie my parents told us to get off our tails and walk US-25 and pick up bottles for the deposit.

Which we did from Tobacco Rd to Sprint Creek and back... about 3 miles.
We were 5 and 6.

An yes, despite being brothers, we always fought over the icy slushy one deep in the ice water cooler at Broxton's store.

Nothing wrong with fighting with

your brother. That's just good training.
