Mark Sanford undeserving

  • Follow Letters

Former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford wants back in politics! You’ve got to be kidding!

After deserting his post and bringing scorn on our beloved state, he wants another chance, this time running for Congress. We know what a mushhead he is. Why would we want him in any position above dog catcher?

The adjutant general of South Carolina should have court-martialed him for desertion.

Mrs. Busch shouldn't have to spend a dime,

because Gov. Sanford is effectively campaigning for her.

The only thing I can think the people of SC are thinking is

things in DC are so bad that they are willing to overlook his past failings in order to send a Conservative to DC to try to slow the tide of liberalism. I know nothing about those running against him in the primaries and how well they campaigned to say if that had anything to do with his winning. Personally, I would not have voted for him.

Yeah you are right....

He is, however, qualified to be the democratic presidential nominee...

Mark Sanford has done no less

Mark Sanford has done no less than Ex-President Bill Clinton. At least he admitted it and took his punishment. Mr. Titus have you never made a mistake? Mr. Mark Sanford is a very intelligent man.Just remember when you point your finger..there are 4 pointing back at you!

"Former South Carolina Gov. Mark..

.
No, Mr. Titus, Mark Sanford, for better of worse, IS back in politics.

If I were voting in SC, I would never have voted for Sanford in the GOP primary. On the other hand, I would now never vote for anyone but Sanford in the general election.

Sanford might not make a good dog catcher (Don't you really hate that old "dog catcher" cliché? I know I do.) But if the Democrats continue in power much longer we're all gonna be eating dog food because that will be all we can afford.

Mr. Titus, Sanford is a sleaze, but competent. Obama and just about any Democrat you can name may or may not be a sleaze, but they are with almost no exceptions, agenda and ideology driven and incompetent.

"....just two of the many qualifying

characteristics of a politician."

You might want to add, "no moral standards" and drop the "many" because other than name recognition and money, there really aren't that many qualifications.

I heard Bill Clinton was real

I heard Bill Clinton was real proud of Mark Sanford and has made him an honorary "Democrat."

Moving On

Sanford was a scoundrel for giving up the fine family unit he had. Nevertheless, he would be a fine foil in Congress for the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Charlie Rangel.

Unfortunately Mr. Titus, you

Unfortunately Mr. Titus, you have become the minority. One who doesn't compromise their convictions. Lord forbid four fingers pointed back at you. Frankly, South Carolina deserves better.
