Taxes, ignorance take toll

  • Follow Letters

Are we too stupid for words? The Democrats are in power and they have made the public believe it’s all the Republicans’ fault for every crisis.

The Republicans lack the backbone to stand up and say no more spending. The American people do not understand economics or the Constitution, so they believe the nonsense they hear from liberals and the White House. The executive branch does not rule this country; it works for us, and should not force us to pay up to 52 percent of our pay in federal, school, state, sales, real estate, car and local taxes.

It has been proved that less tax means more money for individuals to spend as they please to renew our economy. Less tax on business help them expand and hire more people, which would compensate the government with more tax. Basic economics! But because government, civics, economics, the Constitution and individual freedom are not in public schools, we have finally dumbed down our children.

Our growing moral depravity stems from excluding God from government and schools, sometimes even in our churches. No nation can survive without moral and financial responsibility.

We have no one we elect to stop this problem because of cowardice, political correctness and media bullies destroying the best of America. Have we forgotten why we became the greatest free nation in the world, where everyone wants to come to be the best they want to be? We are great not because of entitlements and excessive taxation, but because of the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness – without the hammer of government telling us we shouldn’t.

Republicans don't stand a

Republicans don't stand a chance. (Almost)Every conversation you hear on the news manages to place blame of some kind on the "Republicans in Congress".
Republicans can scream from the roof top..no one will hear them. They have NO pulpit. I don't know if anyone of any stripe could ever make points against such a force...
The least hint of a bill Republicans are working on and if it sound good, Obama, by using Jay Carney, and his loyal media friends, jumps in front and makes it HIS!!

Trillions, only because of inflation and a weak dollar.
Unpublished

The USA does not have enough gold to back all of the paper we have printed. At the end of WWII the USA had most of the gold reserves in the world. Not so today. And as for the ads touting gold ownership. Remember gold is denominated in US Dollars. If we print more dollars, it takes more of them to buy 29 grams of gold, thus the price in dollars increases.

Once table salt was the standard of trade. It may be again in our third world America. Then the Mormons can name their own price (-:

We have a one party system.
Unpublished

We have had one for decades, if not longer. The agenda is the same and the same personalities are the same. Bigger government, more taxation and Global Conquest. And last but not least, perpetual reelection.

You know what, I watched a program recently that said Velcro was invented on the planet Vulcan before being brought to Earth.

Velcro was inveted by a man who after a day out hunting had stickers all over his pants which led him to invent velcro. Made him rich too !
As far as the TV program about Ft.Knox I'm not an imbicile. I know it's just TV and there is very rarely any truth to it. I was naking a joke which no one seemed to understand.

I don't offend someone and get ban by saying Clifford Henning has spoken the Truth. (ok, I know, truth has been ban)

Shrimp - are you sure....

Velcro wasn't invented on Vulcan?? Then brought to Earth by starship??

One more thing. If people don't get your jokes, maybe you should try being a little less subtle.
