Where's protest, Augusta?

Well, we had our chance while the governor and representatives from Atlanta were here – but no rally, no protesters, no one marching with “SAVE THE A” posters.

As I said before, some people do not know how to protest.

The governor was made to feel right at home while he and Dr. Azziz tossed you a bone about the name. Really? Georgia Regents University Augusta (GRUA)? What next: GRUA-Atlanta or GRUA-Athens or GRUA-Macon?

We will have GRUs all over Georgia. Dr Azziz has made known his plans and sites for future expansion of GRUA, and Atlanta was the prime city noted.

This has nothing to do with the fact the state government is located there. This has nothing to do with the Board of Regents being located there, and they were the ones who hired Dr. Azziz.

Most of all, let’s not forget to thank the governor at the next election. Let him know how much we appreciate his lack of support and understanding in the fiasco naming the new university.

It’s a shame “SAVE THE A” will go the same way as “THE SOUTH WILL RISE AGAIN.” Just another smoke screen.

Good point

Good point that Augustans don't know how to protest. Asking politely is not going to prevail in this battle.

Look how far politeness and honesty got Mitt Romney, a much better qualified man, defeated for president. We know some Augustans know how to protest, burn, loot, etc. Good Christian people don't do that. No God-loving person does that.
