Keep up breast cancer fight

  • Follow Letters

I just wanted to say “thank you” to The Augusta Chronicle for all of the wonderful things that you have done for the fight against breast cancer. I was one of the “12 Faces of Survival,” and I felt so honored!

I would also like to say “thank you” to plastic surgeon Billy Lynn for giving me hope on feeling like a woman again. Without his support and knowledge, I don’t think I would have been as strong and hopeful for a normal life again.

I also would like to encourage every woman who has been through this to please have your reconstructive surgery. It is worth all of the pain and discomfort when it’s all over and done with!

Thanks again for everything that you all do every day to make our lives a little bit easier!
