Four more years of excuses

  • Follow Letters

This presidential campaign has seen much controversy over economic issues, with both sides making difficult-to-assess claims. However, the tragedy in Benghazi has made the character issue crystal clear.

Even if we could forgive the disastrous security decisions that cost four lives, the subsequent lying to cover up is unforgivable.

We now know the State Department’s operations center was in real-time contact with the ongoing situation on the ground in Benghazi before and during the attack. Before the attack, they knew there was no demonstration and all was quiet. And later, they knew the well-coordinated action by up to 100 armed men using heavy machine guns, rockets and mortars was a signature al-Qaida attack, even before the black flag of al-Qaida was raised over the ruins.

Within 24 hours, President Obama, Vice President Biden and Secretary Clinton knew the facts concerning the attack, but instead of taking responsibility they colluded in promoting the lie that it was a demonstration over an anti-Islamic YouTube video that got out of hand.

They sent the State Department spokesperson and the U.N. ambassador out repeatedly to sell that false story. President Obama and Hillary repeated it numerous times, profusely apologizing for the offending video. And now, they are claiming that poor security was the fault of the intelligence community for not providing any “actionable intelligence.” And Joe Biden has claimed innocence, as the White House has done, saying he didn’t know Ambassador Stevens and others in Libya had made repeated requests for additional security.

If we vote for four more years of this administration, we can only expect more lying excuses and blame shifting as our foreign relations and economy continue to sink into complete ruin. We must ensure four brave Americans did not die in vain.

Intelligence let us down

You know I think the folks in Washington must think the American people are basicly stupid.
The attack happened on 9/11. That pretty much was a dead giveaway that it was a planned terrorist attack. I don't know why the administration fed us that cock and bull story about a stupid youtube video. You're right Donald they knew it was a planned attack immediately but you see if they told us that right away the American people would be asking questions like "Why did our intelligence agencies drop the ball? Why couldn't we have prevented it?"
The only way they could explain it was for it to have been a spur of the moment uprising that our intelligence couldn't have predicted.
The truth is that our intel was non existant and the administration figured we'd believe whatever they told us forgetting that Americans are not only allowed but required to question our leaders.
September 11th, attack on our embassy, spur of the moment decision by terrorists?
A first grader could have told you this was a well planned attack.

Just imagine how the wife and children of the ambassador feel when they hear Obama call his death a "bump in the road". Let's just hope Obama experiances his own bump in the road in the form of the coming election which sends his sorry un-American butt packing.

I like the current diversionary excuse. "Fog of war."

So now we are at war in Libya? I thought this Nobel Peace Prize winner was supposed to END wars.

"A first grader could have told .......

...... you this was a well planned attack." Shrimp, gotta agree with you, but the first grader thing is a stretch. On the other hand, a 5th grader makes more sense. Still, the children running this administration are definitely NOT SMARTER than a 5th grader...

So the solution is to vote for a guy who's lied his way

through the entire campaign, and doesn't seem to know what constitutes a modern navy, or even where places are on the map? If you're effectively promising war with Iran, you should at least know that the country has a long coastline on the Persian Gulf.

Jon Lester.... Would you rather vote for a guy who thinks there are 57 states, that the Navy has Corpse men, and thinks the army and marines no longer use bayonettes?

What lies were told all through the campaign? What evidence do you have of those lies......You mean the lies about the ATTACK in Libya?

The "fact checkers" all found that Obama was the one who could not tell the truth.

Why is the DOW up 67% since the President took office?
Why is the S&P up 80%?
Why have corporate profits exceeded their pre recession highs?
As an investor sounds like we are on the right course.

Why is unemployment up? Why is food cost up? Why is gasoline prices up? Why are wages stagnating or dropping? Why have we not had a budget in nearly 4 years? If you give the president credit for your list, he must also take blame for my list.

If the economy is sinking...

If you were really an investor, as am I, you would know the the market can surge even while the economy falters. You would also know that your hero, Obama made that exact point when he was criticizing the George Bush economy. He also denigrated Bush for bringing about gas prices that were half what his are today.

Hurts to base all your hopes and dreams on an agenda driven, results poor, lackluster and failed administration, doesn't it? Four more years of this infantile, self-destructive, confused and direction-less "government"?

Not if there's any justice left in the world.

Oh Lord, someone said we are on the right track. I honestly can not see how anyone could look at what is going on and conclude that. Partisan blindness has become a curse on this country.

Caught in a pack of lies

It is a wonder that some, liberal at all costs, journalists can show their faces or still have press badges.

Even the Presidents own Press people admitted not knowing what the "official" storyline was.

So far how many people have been blamed? A movie not released yet, A small group of peaceful demonstrators then a large group, then poor intell, then wrong intell, then the victims. Then we saw the leaked requests for more security, Hillary stepped in to C Obama A. Then a Youtube video came out showing terrorists with RPG's shooting at the Embassy. An still they continued to TRY to sweep it under a media rug.

Now for one last dirty fact, Obama was proudly on TV 4 months ago when he spoke of using US DOD resources to help the Arab Spring upraising and the Muslim Brotherhood take over Libya.

Oh Yea he has a foreign policy, but is for America?

If the economy is sinking...

The reason the dow, and every thing has been doing well is because Obama's term has been coming to an end for the last year notice things didn't get better until the end. Meaning no real recovery started until his last year in office lol. So a lot of people are missing the point he didn't cut anything in half he increased it. Things are getting better because they are hoping he is out. The presidents term is really only 3 years Obama hasnt really even done his job for the last six months lol.

If you are an investor

The dow and everything else involved with investing is driven by fear of what might or might not happen. There are so many factors and driving forces that it's impossible to prodict. So to be honest wether or not the president is doing a good job doesn't matter or directly effect how people are trading. Investing 101 most people trade on emotion and what company's are doing or speculation about company's and what may happen to a company.
