Keep Ashley Wright as DA

  • Follow Letters

I just completed a six-month stint on the Columbia County Grand Jury. On our last day, I told District Attorney Ashley Wright that I learned a lot during my service on the jury. I also told her I am glad she is our district attorney. She knows her job and does it well. She is a fine person and a great DA. Her record speaks for itself.

I voted early for Ms. Wright and I hope you all will do the same. Keep our DA, Ashley Wright – it’s just the right thing to do!

Grand Juries

I'm not picking on Mr. Harbin, but most grand jurors are just like him. I'd for once like to see a run-away grand jury in Richmond County. One that takes over and asks the DA to leave while getting to the heart of the improprieties and corruption in the county goverment. Grand juries do not have to follow the lead of the DA. They can bravely strike out on their own to the chagrin of the establishment and demand witnesses. They have a power that the court tries to keep them from understanding out of fear of what the grand jury might find and demand.

Right

That grand jury should have demanded to see the material that Al Gray and Lori Davis and Brad Owens dug up regarding the TEE Center corruption. Instead, Ashley Wright just swept it under the carpet.

Its time for new face a new

Its time for new face a new direction for Augusta District Attorney Office too man friilous gran jury indictments are been handed down on our young black teenagers males are been hit with gang related charges. And too many plea deals are made for white offenders who are getting a slap on the wrist for felon offense. It time to elect Evita Paschal who is fair minded.Let make history in Richmond County liked the voters did in 2008, by electing the first black president.
