Help in bone marrow drive

  • Follow Letters

Congregation Children of Israel will play host to a bone marrow donor drive this Sunday for the Be the Match Foundation – the major registry for the Georgia Health Sciences Health System and many other hospitals across the country.

Anyone between ages18 and 60 who meets health guidelines is eligible to register, while donors from diverse ethnic and racial backgrounds are especially needed. The quick and painless cheek swab has the potential of saving hundreds of lives across the country. Should a successful match be made in the future, the procedure for obtaining the donor’s bone marrow is now similar to that of a blood donation.

Please join us for this important event – Sunday, Sept. 23, at Walton Way Temple, 3005 Walton Way, between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Just a few minutes of your time can mean a lifetime to someone else. Please join us for this important event!
