Put students ahead of cash

Thank you, Augusta Chronicle, for your support of alumni who wish to retain the prestige of the “Augusta” name at our alma mater.

Georgia Health Sciences University President Ricardo Azziz wants us to “drop it.” I hope that folks will realize that we have a voice. We do not have to stand by and let Azziz dictate our future.

Augusta State University was an educational institution first, not a health-care system or corporation. The students are more important than the dollars – period!

Thanks

Thank you for the letter, Mr. Davis. I agree with you about the name change. However, you are wrong in your last sentence. The dollars are more important than the students.

If you don't believe it, just ask ‘A Day’ fundraiser David Alalof.
