Why do you like new name?

I finally got it. I was wondering what the name Georgia Regents University means. Since the Georgia Board of Regents doesn’t want to listen to the citizens of Augusta and surrounding communities, then I guess the new name represents a university that doesn’t listen to anybody, either.

There certainly must not have been any people on the committee who chose the final names who knew anything about marketing. Oh, possibly they were marketers of politicians. To create such a negative atmosphere over something as important as a new university name can only help the school.

Really? Georgia Health Sciences University President Ricardo Azziz is right. It will take 10 to 20 years to get over the name change and get used to it.

I wish the people who love this new name would speak up. I would love to hear why you like the name.
