Boycott both schools

  • Follow Letters

The students and teachers of Augusta State University and Georgia Health Sciences University should get together and inform the Board of Regents that there will be a boycott by all the students and teachers Aug. 20 (or Aug. 27) unless the name “Georgia Regents University” is changed to a name that includes the word “Augusta.”

If not changed, every student and teacher will make signs and march around both schools, and not attend classes for whatever time is necessary to register their disagreement with the namers.

These two groups have the power to do this if they have the will and fortitude to carry out this boycott.

The will of the people must be followed – not the politics of 17 politicians.

Sorry Mr. Moser ...

from your comments, I can tell you would like to unite the masses in an attempt to sway the powers that be into conforming to the will of the people. Unfortunately, as it is with organizing unions and/or boycotts for the greater good of the public, you live in the wrong state. Better luck next time.

To fedex227 post, you are

To fedex227 post, you are right about the wrong state. People down south do not have enough guts to stick together on anything, and that's sad to say , but it's so true.

Does anyone know where Azziz

Does anyone know where Azziz resides? He will not feel this protest until it is in his face, he could care less until people show up in front of his house.

Everybody knows where the MCG presidential mansion is

It's on Milledge Road, just south of Walton Way.

But I would advise against just showing up there. The Georgia State Highway Patrol would probably take a very dim view of that. Besides, his kids are still kind of young to have to deal with that kind of thing. IMO, you don't want to go in that direction, honestly.
