'Simple' man not needed

  • Follow Letters

Lee Anderson keeps telling everyone to “send a simple man to Congress.”

But you know what? Simple can’t really survive in Washington. Simple can’t get the job done in Congress. Simple stays home.

How can a simple man possibly maneuver the intricacies of the U.S. Congress? How can he outwit bright congressmen? How will he be able to represent my interests if those interests will never be heard? Heck, I doubt if he will even spearhead any policy changes. After all, he only passed two pieces of legislation over the course of three years as a legislator in the Georgia House of Representatives.

Simply put, I’m not happy with Lee Anderson, and I can’t imagine many people who would be if he were elected to Congress.

I can

Lee is exactly what we need in Washington. Lee is our best choice. He will keep the people of the CSRA in mind as he serves them, not so much for the other candidates who have their 'supporters' to placate.

I'd just die if I turned on

I'd just die if I turned on Chris Matthews or some other liberal show and they had Congressman Lee Anderson on there to debate an issue.

just die

Riverman, you do realize that the same can be said of Broun, if not even worse after some of his off the wall comments over the last couple of years. Lee will do just fine, I don't think we will find him leading a cabal of 'right wingers' that draws so much political attention. Lee will work with other legislators and that is what a good congressman should do.

Faithson, I Laughed At Broun Too

Faithson, I was a Whitehead and later a Fleming supporter. I have made fun of lots of Broun's ramblings and will never forgive him for stopping I-3 when Charlie Norwood had it set. Broun trying to teach Congress how to say the Pledge of Allegiance without pausing was flat out hilarious.
