Legion threat misguided

The screwball who wrote in and threatened the American Legion about burning the flag (“American Legion post gets threats because it disposed of flags,” June 22) should do some research himself.

Burning is the only way to pay our respect to old, grand flags. I have been flying the flag since I retired (23 years military, 20 years federal service), and will fly one forever. And don’t forget the light.

vast majority of Americans were graded on their intelligent quotient and required to know basic concepts and laws, remedial courses for grammar school would replace the option of getting a college education.
