Obama's past molded him

  • Follow Letters

Since President Obama’s background has been largely ignored by the national news media, there are significant facts that should be brought forward about those who have influenced Obama during his formative years and beyond.

His father, Barack Sr., was a socialist/communist, as was Lolo Soetero, the president’s stepfather. The president’s mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, was a self-described atheist and socialist, as were her father and mother, the grandparents who raised Barack. With a family history of leftist political thought and action, is it any wonder Obama is a radical leftist?

Obama’s mentor, by his own admission, was a dedicated communist named Frank Marshall Davis. Among the numerous leftist “czars” Obama appointed was Van Jones, also a dedicated communist. Jones has since left the White House under duress, but like leading members of the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now and the Service Employees International Union, he has maintained easy access to the president. Both ACORN and SEIU are socialist/communist-oriented organizations!

Illinois ACORN records show that Obama was a member of the socialist New Party, having joined on Jan. 11, 1996. Obama formally requested a New Party endorsement, signed the candidate contract and joined the party. He denies it. Founded by leftist radicals in 1992 and controlled by ACORN, the New Party’s ultimate stated goal was to push the Democratic Party further to the political left and establish socialism in America.

So far, Obama has lived up to its agenda. He took an oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution, but it meant nothing! Just another discarded promise he had no intention of keeping. He has proceeded to deliberately subvert the Constitution and/or ignore it whenever the opportunity presents, and continues to assume dictatorial powers he doesn‘t have.

Every day in America now is “how can we fool them again?” time, while the country continues to flounder.

Robert Smock

Obama's Past Molded Him

Mr. Smock you are dead on. I wish more people would wake up and see this president for who he really is and what he is really trying to do to our free country. This election will either save (at least temporally; the Socialist/Marxist gang will try again) our country or we will see the beginning of the end of Capitalism if Obama is reelected. Thank you for your informative letter.

reeks of visceral 'hate'

I get these kinds of intense hate-mongering from many of my republican friends via email. Reminds me of the school yard gossip immature children use to bring down what they don't understand. I don't mind a reasoned discussion of differences in policy, but this incessant character attack reeks of 'jim crow'...

IWhat is really interesting

What is really interesting is how many fallicies, distortions and lies are in Obama's book "Dreams of My Father". Maniss in his Book "Obama, The Story " Documents them. It is clear nobody really knows Obama or what he is about. Can any one cite any, ANY, journalist that interviewed Obama about the lies, distortions and fabrications in his book? No this letter isn't paranoid Glen Beck stuff, this is an actual inquiry and speculation aboout Obama. Obama says he was mentored by Davis, another lie or the truth? Please tell me Ultranr, Techfan, or Faithson, is this fact or fiction, can you cite another source? Ultranr, Techfan, or Faithson did Obama say he liked to hang out with the Marists and communists at college? Fact or fiction? Please cite a source that confims or debases the aligation. I bet you can't, I will wait and wait, and wait..

It is obvious that Obama was

It is obvious that Obama was raised in a disfunctional family with lots of psychological baggage that he expanded on personally. It doesn't take a psychiatrist to see a possible pathology. The man doesn't have a logical consistent bone in his body-I'll fight to close Gitmo and give these people due process in good ole America to assassinatin' and drone killings of "suspected terrorist" and innocent people too. To be consistent he would put a bullet in their brains and quickly close Gitmo. His idea of "fairness" is from Bizarro World-where everything is backwards.

One could make a list about Romney- how his background is filled with Mexican polygamists, and that has made Romney a flip flopping democrat. So what's to gain by all this?

It is called vetting. Let's do both this time-I agree. I agree both are likely psychopaths, but that goes for the last 5-6 presidents. In my mind only a psychopath would want to be president. hee, hee, hee.

Background?

"could make a list about Romney- how his background "

Well, at least Romney HAS a verifiable background. I checked it out. No socialists, no communists, and no radical muslims. Got to go in my book. Obama on the other hand has only got a few things that I CAN verify.......socialists, communists, and radical muslims. Now that we can verify that Obamacare is actually a TAX, we can add LIAR to his resume.

Smock, your laundry list of falsehoods

leaves you with no business accusing the president of "fooling" anybody, when it's obvious that you're a classic authoritarian follower, anxious to believe whatever conservative media personalities tell you, no matter how stupid.

This president threw out the "public option" without even debating it, and gave 30 million new customers to the private insurance industry. Some communist.

texas

I see where the texas republican party in it's platform has called for 'No teaching of critical thinking skills' in school's because it may cause the young people to 'question' their upbringing... I see many on these boards have obviously taken this to heart. Much of what I read on these boards comes from exactly this type of 'education'... to bad so sad !

Jon Lester- Please document

Jon Lester- Please document where anything in this letter is false. Obama has lies in his book, lies about closing Gitmo, lies about cutting the deficit, lies about keeping your health care as it is, lies about this isn't a tax, nothing but lies and I can document every one of those, now please have the courtesy to document where Mock has falsehoods. Obama has ton of falsehoods and you give him a pass why not Smock?

expression

Car; it has everything to do with how one can be 'propagandized'. Much of what is said on these boards comes from propaganda being fomented by coalitions that do not stand up under intelligent criticizem. Sorry, but yes much of what is spewed by media outlets on both sides is 'agenda' driven, not intelligent discussion. An education that includes 'critical thinking' about the world around us is imperative.

Faithson- So, using critical

Faithson- So, using critical thinking, please tell me if it is true Obama said he would cut the deficit in half and what form of critical thinking makes this statement true? Did Obama say he would close Gitmo and did he do it? Is some form of critical thinking going to make it true? So the issue at hands appears to be the varacity of Mock's letter, now tell me how critical thinking changes Obama's or Mocks statements!

Wow

I read nothing but the title and the first couple of sentences and I will wager that I can recite the rest of the letter without so much as a glance back at the text.

We've already got enough fine conservative folks (sometimes including yours truly) parroting the same tired lines.

What we really need is some fresh material. Please vote Obama out if for no other reason than to give us something else to talk about.

thinking

car; yes critical thinking will lead you to understand that 'ideals' are sometimes not as easy in 'real life'. The examples you use could be applied to any President of the last century... Your Mitt man is making all kinds of commitments that he will NEVER be able to pull off... it's politics and in fact it is election year politics at that. Critical thinking allows for understanding, not repudiation. But considering the acerbic tenor of the republican rhetoric towards anything coming from the 'OTHER' side, I don't see a smoothing of the 'waves' any time soon. A wise man once said; Criticizem is a mute point, unless there is a thoughtful idea to address the point being criticized. So much derision for derision's sake.. saying our President is no good, just to SAY he is no good... listening to other people say our President is no good, JUST BECAUSE that is what YOU WANT to HEAR!!!!

Faithson- It is simple, Obama

Faithson- It is simple, Obama had no executive experiance, no idea how to run anything, no clue as to what is possible and what would be nice. His alligator mouth over loaded his canary butt and here we are! Now tell me what Romney has purposed that he can't reasonably do (other than lower the oceans, cool and heal the planet, oops that was Obama)?

I knew Obama was going to

I knew Obama was going to have trouble closing GITMO. Nobody wanted terrorists in their back yard (even Democrats). I knew Obama could not try terrorists in open court, rules of evidence and how do you establish a chain of custody for evidence captured in a raid by CIA agents? I know Doctors that won't release bullets from the operating room because then they have to go to court and testify that they removed the bullet. They get subpoenaed and then waste all day never gets called to testify then get called back again for two or three days just to say, “yes I took that bullet out of Smith". Then one of the attorneys says "Thank you Dr. your excused". Holder and Obama thought they could try them in open court. One terrorist has been tried. This was one of the guys in the African Embassy bombings that destroyed two US embassies and killed over 200 people with 4,000 wounded. The guy was convicted of conspiracy! Obama was quick to criticize Bush for the tribunals, well he hasn’t done any better The master mind of 9-11 is still awaiting his day in court! And yes I have a solution, elect somebody has a clue about what is going on, clearly Obama is clueless!
