Obama case is historic

  • Follow Letters

Thanks for the June 3 editorial detailing the questions surrounding the Supreme Court’s ruling later this week on the constitutionality of the federal health-care law (“Historical marker”). All citizens now can easily understand why 26 states are part of this suit. This historic case will redefine the boundaries of federal power.

"All citizens now can easily understand why 26 states are part of this suit" For the most part, Republican governors.

26 vs. 24. About the same

26 vs. 24. About the same percentage as people who pay federal taxes vs. the ones who do not pay federal taxes. Yep, anyway you look at it there is a definite consistentcy on the numbers in this battle between the people who are being forced to pay for everything and the people standing in line with their hand out.

So Techfan, you are saying that Republican governers are the only one's who actually READ the constitution and see that nowhere in there does it give the Congress the power to force you to buy ANYTHING?

Still wonder if I someone will ever muster up the courage to answer the question about the reactor.

Seems I remember a poll a few

Seems I remember a poll a few weeks ago showing 26% of Dem politicians have abandoned Obamacare because it is so politically toxic. Given its unpopularity seems a wise choice. While I agree the Dems try at health care is a disaster (although not all of it is an issue), I don't think the Reps will likely do any better. Seems obvious our govt is incompetent in that regard. Fact is I don't know if our govt is actually fixin' more problems than it likely creates in regard to anything anymore. When you examine the waste and inefficiencies and bureacracy in just about every department it is staggering (and embarrassin') that something so important as our govt they can't even do what most businesses do everyday and have for centuries.

The reason the Government is
Unpublished

The reason the Government is incompotent when it comes to healthcare is because they have no business meddling in it in the first place.

No, Leslie, you will never

No, Leslie, you will never get an answer. He just slunk away from (my spell checker didn't care for slinked, but liked slunk, it. Either is correct according to MW) slunk just sounds yucky to me. It was an inconvenient question.
