Energy policy dangerous

  • Follow Letters

For energy independence, President Obama says that we will use “all of the above” – meaning all fossil fuels, wind, solar and battery power. Those last three sources cannot drive our highway and rail transportation systems.

The president and his green companions are fighting tooth and nail to kill our major assets that are driving our economy now and for the next 25 years: coal, oil and natural gas. Mr. Obama and his Environmental Protection Agency already are shutting down all coal-fired power plants right now. Our coal reserves would cover our needs for more than 300 years. Our oil resources could reduce our foreign dependence by more than 20 percent. The administration has forced the denial of public-land drilling leases by 40 percent over the past three years. This blatant hypocrisy has no end – and 40 percent of the voting public still trusts him?

How about natural gas? Three years ago the Sierra Club, a powerful left-wing “green” lobby, hailed a conversion to natural gas with less than half the carbon emission of coal. But now that natural gas has become more plentiful and cheaper, the Sierra Club is afraid that natural gas would become more widely accepted as the alternative fuel because it still has some carbon emission. So now they want to kill the natural gas option, too.

Their favorite wind farms are a terrible monstrosity and have already killed a half million migrating birds, according to the American Bird Conservancy. No outrage from the Sierra Club or the nature-loving public?

Mr. Obama’s skillful rhetoric and our continuing dumbing-down of our school systems result in a socialist propaganda-absorbing public easily manipulated into an eventual dictatorship.

Our great nation’s freedom-loving people need to be awakened to this danger.

Not to mention the Billions

Not to mention the Billions wasted in stupid "green" energy schemes like Solyndra, Fisker Motors, Ener1 Battery company etc. Not only that but stimulus money, to creat jobs in the US, paid for windmills built in China and Spain...

We probably won't see our power bills double or triple for another two or three years, but it's coming. Romney will probably be in office and he'll take all the blame for it.

Yes, and you do it pretty much on every post, no matter the topic. It always adds so much to the conversation. Energy policy-"I hate Obama." Foreign policy-"I hate Obama." Domestic policy-"I hate Obama." ........ It definitely shows a firm grasp of all of the issues discussed.

Yeah, it'll be Obama's fault

Yeah, it'll be Obama's fault for backing the new reactors at Plant Vogtle. The GOP state legislature already bypassed the PSC to make sure the rates go up. When the project goes over budget, the Southern Company will pass the costs on to us. You see, "almost free" nuclear energy costs a bundle. Also, it's such a great idea that the shareholders never have to take any risk. Their profits are guaranteed even if a project tanks. That's what millions of dollars and a couple of hundred lobbbyists will get for you.

"Energy policy-"I hate Obama." Foreign policy-"I hate Obama." Domestic policy-"I hate Obama." "

More like this.

Energy policy- " I hate Obama's policies." RACIST
Foreign policy- "I hate Obama's policies." RACIST
Domestic policy- "I hate Obama's policies." RACIST

And let's not forget the other standby argument of the left......It's Bush's fault. It definitely shows a firm grasp of all of the issues discussed.

I've even seen a poster here say that Iraq had uranium that they couldn't use, just because they had yet to assemble it into a reactor....something they couldn't have done until they obtained that very uranium. That's a firm grasp of issues.

I like the sarcastic use of quotation marks around the word "rare", as if to imply that it actually is NOT rare. But one doesn't have to look far to see that it is the norm. I even posted a few easily found examples to back up my statement.

After all we know Palin bought cloths at a discount store and where she had her hair done because by heavens Palin had to be vetted BWAHAHAHAHAHA

When Romney is in the WH, and things are better, will you say, "Hey Mitt, why aren't you thanking Barack?" Romney won't be blaming everything on Obama. He does have a spine.

I don't think the author has any business

talking about dumbed-down education or propaganda, because this letter is entirely bereft of fact, and certain key words like "socialist" and "propaganda" kind of give away a gullibility found among Fox news viewers in particular.

Those Fox News viewers sure are gullible....they'll believe anything you tell them. Yeah.....those gullible Fox News viewers.

KING OBAMA
Unpublished

This just in from the Washington Post: "The Obama Administration has exerted "executive privilege" over documents related to the "Fast and Furious" operation Wednesday as a house committee moved to hold U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt after he failed to hand over the documents related to the congressional inquiry into the scandal." When Richard Nixon pulled this crap regarding Watergate, congress immediately moved to impeach him. Want to bet the Democrats won't do that, but will circle the wagons to protect him, just like they did Nancy Pelosi? Typical liberal hypocrites...we never do wrong, but if we do, we shouldn't be held responsible because our intentions are good. Makes ya wanna puke!

Suthern Leslie- Don't forget

Suthern Leslie- Don't forget Obama's book " Dreams of My Father" The lick spittle press lapped it up like it was necture from the gods, now it turns out to be more fiction than fact...But people that watch Fox News are gulible...I also think it is funny that it turns out Obama was the first birther...His biography in his book says he was from Kenya, His bio of His election to the Senate said he was from Kenya. I guess if you took Obama at his word then you are an idiot birther now...BWAHAHAHAHAHA
