Obama likes omnipotence

  • Follow Letters

The Democrats seem to have one dominant guiding principle – “How can we fool them today?”

“Them,” of course, means us – the citizens of the United States. President Obama has thoroughly embraced this principle, and is going to present himself as a moderate in the coming election. But it is going to be hard to pull off this time, for we now know he is anything but moderate!

Instead, Obama fancies himself as the omnipotent ruler, and he will characterize any opposition as extremist. In anticipation of his Obamacare loss in the Supreme Court, he has started by trying to bully those justices who might disagree with him.

Obama is Marxist. Just like the Obamacare mandate, he wants to impose socialism on the American people, ramming it down our collective throats. He is loyally abetted by the Democrats in the House and Senate, and by four Supreme Court justices, all of whom dance in leftist lockstep when the puppet master requires it!

El Presidente Hugo Chavez of Venezuela is expected soon to expire from cancer, thus leaving a dictatorial vacancy, and it’s a natural fit for the Obamas! Perhaps when Obama’s unemployment benefits are exhausted, they could apply.

I doubt that citizenship would present an obstacle there, especially to one already so experienced and adept at downplaying that question. He could even take his lovely lady, who has publicly professed to have never been proud of America anyway! Like minds tend to seek each other out. Perhaps many in the Democratic Party would follow, seemingly being more comfortable in totalitarian surroundings.

With their best interests in mind, of course, we would celebrate their newfound opportunity and be ecstatic at their departures. And Chavez has already got most of the heavy work done!

How dare the staff of the

How dare the staff of the Augusta Chronicle print such a vile pack of lies.

Many of us dismiss Mr. Smock's monthly rants as the delusions of a paranoid schizophrenic and snicker at his foolish atempts to paint any and all Democrats as unpatriotic toads. We have come to expect it.

Truly, the Letters to the Editor staff should be ashamed of themselves especially in light of the ACES Sunday plea for moderation and common sense campaign rhetoric.

My God am I the only one to see just how hypocritical this paper is? You practically beg all sides to be courteous on the Lord's day and then print this on Tuesday.

Shame on you. Had this letter been submitted as a post on these threads my bet is that the decent minded Sean Moores would have pulled it in a minute. How embarrassed he must be at this moment.

“How can we fool them today?”
“Them,” of course, means Rupert Murdock's Army of Faux followers who lap up the acerbic diatribes He has built his empire upon. Always remember Fox built their network on the Sunday evening trash comics that pander to our lowest common cultural denominator, Jerry Springer et al.

LTE like this play right into deluded minds that 'hate' and I mean hate our President. Micheal, no good can come from allowing this ongoing hate mongering. Your consistent support by publishing extreme commentary has no redeeming value, and thus does harm by embolding the vulgar among us and borders on evil.

Wow, that's a lot of hate in

Wow, that's a lot of hate in Mr. Smock's letter.

It's hard to reason with folks who filter their opinions through a veil of hatred, so maybe the editorial staff should not have let this one get through (as Retired Army noted earlier).

President Obama is our elected leader and Commander-In-Chief. As such, the Office of the President deserves our respect. If you believed some of the right-wing sect, one would think that Americans had elected the devil himself to Office.

Face it - President Obama is just a man from humble beginnings who worked hard and achieved greatness. Most of us would be crushed under the responsibility that he wields, so until we walk a mile in his shoes and can pass judgement, let us be thankful that we have a level-headed, smart, insightful man to guide our nation.

Actually, this wasn't a hate

Actually, this wasn't a hate letter. It was just a guy stating his opinion based on the President's actions and rhetoric with a little snarky humor thrown in. Attack seems like the first reaction of liberals who read letters opposing the President. Respond first and use the following formula.

First, attack AC for printing. Second, call it vile, hateful or lacking truth. Third, praise President Obama as reasonablle, humble, principled, or strong.

Finally, close before you have to provide any positive examples of achievements or actions that support the recharacterization of the President.

Obama lies and tries to

Obama lies and tries to deceive all the time, so why is pointing out the truth so repugnant to the left? Why don’t you tell the truth about Obama? Here are just a few of Obama’s lies. “Don’t tell me I don’t have a claim on this, because some people walked across this bridge a white girl from Kansas could marry a black man from Africa” Obama was born 6 years before bloody Sunday. “I will expedite the building of this pipeline” Obama said this during a speech in Oklahoma, the problem all, the permits except one are in place and it will be issued in about 6 months. Obama said “We only have 2% of the proven world’s oil reserves” Obama is correct but he used a technical term to try to fool Americans into believing that we cannot drill our way into energy independence. Hamm, an oil and energy developer says we could be energy independent in ten years. The latest lie from Obama’s reelection team that Romney would have not ordered the Bin Laden raid. Nobody knows what Romney would have done and Navy seals are a little upset that Obama is using this as a political tool. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2137636/SEALs-slam-Obama-using-a... So if Obama lies what is wrong with pointing out that he is trying to deceive? I could go on for a long time about Obama's distortions and loose talk with the facts and truth!

That would be SOME Navy

That would be SOME Navy Seals. One is a Republican state senator. One who griped about the publicity the Seals are getting, while has no problem selling books, making public appearances, pushing watches, etc., based on his publicity as a former Seal. Another uses his Seal and sniper publicity to again sell a book, and push his training school (and claimed that he punched Jesse Ventura, for which he is being sued). The moral is, you can't mention the Seals because they are hush-hush, unless you're a former Seal who wants to make a buck off of it.

Come on! Everyone hated Bush

Come on! Everyone hated Bush and Cheney more than Obama. Rather than torture people this president just executes them-which seems more cruel?? I just love America is place where people can voice their opinions no matter how vile any particular person may find it. We wouldn't a fascist suppression of opinions would we???? It is obvious the emperor has no clothes, mainly because he keeps changing them from liberal to moderate to liberal to moderate, ad infinitum. He must be bipolar-I support the Keystone pipeline to make us independent in 08 and now no, no, no. The guy faked us all out with a bunch of lies is the simple truth. I wish it wasn't I'd vote for him if he was who he portrayed in 08 (but he is just another immoral politician-like Cheney, hee, hee, hee. Face it Obama is really just an arrogant academic. If you have a college degree you know the type-great with theory know nothing of reality. Hopefully America has learned its lesson electing someone with no executive experience, no economic experience, and little common sense (the brainy ones never do). I am shocked many posters would suppress free speech, but then again they do support Obama and a complete lack of respect for the constitution, laws and order.

Never said I agreed with it Retired Army but thanks for the sarcasm. Notice anytime someone can not have an adult conversation they resort to nasty sarcasm and religious mockery. Fine example Retired Army.

You made a mockery of yourself by boasting so adamantly about how our President was being so disrespected and how awful the AC is for allowing such a letter to be posted. I only posted some from past articles to show you that humans will be human and we all do it. Hypocrocsy is not one political party or another, and whining gets us nowhere.
