Quit playing the race card

  • Follow Letters

Speaking as a black conservative, it is so sad when the “race card” is continually used by politicians and liberal voters to explain away the horrible record of President Obama. Yes, he was handed the gigantic problem of a very fragile economy, but he campaigned on the idea that he was up to the task of dealing with it.

Instead, he made matters worse by saddling the nation with a health-care overhaul that most Americans did not want, and topped it off with a trillion-dollar so-called “stimulus” package that has put this country further in debt than it has ever been – all the while hamstringing any real job recovery by throwing endless regulations at small businesses.

And the president did all this with Democratic control of both houses of Congress while blaming Republicans in the minority for hindering his plans!

These are not racist statements. They are factual statements of how things stand under Obama’s watch, and it is past time for this administration and its supporters to throw away the race card and own up to it.

Boy there are some strawman

Boy there are some strawman arguments concerning religion. I didn't realize all christians are intellectually lazy-ooh boy! Richard Dawkins made a similar idiotic statement and after having is hiney handed to him on a platter basically recanted to just indict fundamentalist christians because of evolution. I've lost count how many white congresspeople are in the Congressional Black Caucus? Oh none. Tell me how that isn't racist. Or we going backwards to a separate but equal mentality. I think Obama is the only President who can right this wrong because he is of african-american ethnicity. Why separate-is this an interest group. LOL

435 Congressmen, roughly 40

435 Congressmen, roughly 40 who are black. Have everyone join the Congressional Black Caucus and it ceases to be the Congressional Black Caucus. Lame argument biz.

Techfan- It would depend on

Techfan- It would depend on your meaning of Liberal, Corrie Ten Boom wasn't liberal in your sense of the word. None would support free birth control and formication. NOne of them would supplort pregnancy out of wed lock. None would support abortion on demand. O really don't think they would support gubment funding for able body men to sit on their butts all day and drink beer.

What the heck are you talking

What the heck are you talking about? Where does that fit in with a discussion of the Congressional Black Caucus?

It is lame but it true it is

It is lame but it true it is discriminatory in the absolute sense. Obama expressed a similar "lame" idea in regard to women and membership in Augusta National. "Discrimination is the prejudicial treatment of an individual based on their membership - or perceived membership - in a certain group or category." Both are discriminatory towards either gender or race. Hey I'm Kool with it in regard to freedom-let each group do what the want, but it seems draconian and antiquated.

The congressional black

The congressional black caucus is a race based organization. While it may not be racist in the true definition of the word it is bigoted and prejudiced. Obama feels free to call out Augusta National, a private club, but turns a blind eye to raced base club in his own government.
